Hi Paul2, The email account is monitored by actual people and is not an automated system. This account receives thousands of different requests per day so it does take a little while for removal request to be received and pasked to the correct department. I find this highly ironic, considering Asgardia is founded in Austria. It says so in the FAQ: "3. Is Asgardia a part of any other known organization? Asgardia is a registered trademark of AIRC out of Vienna, Austria. All Terms & Conditions listed on their web-site are applicable. Asgardia is an independent project of AIRC and has no affiliation with any entity OTHER than AIRC"

in my experience, it is possible that you can be registered as a permanent resident of a country, without filing for citizenship or having a passport from that country. You would have only the passport of your birth country that you have your citizenship with. But you would have a residency permit for Asgardia - sometime in the future when it is applicable. This may be a work-around the dual citizenship problem.

If you have dual citizenship and your country eg. UK or Australia revoke citizenship of their country (which they can do to dual nationals!) where will you go? Hello, I have some thoughts, and I apologize if my suggestions have been previously made by someone else. I'm not a new citizen of Asgardia, but have been busy with earth bound obligations and not active in conversations and suggestions. As several have pointed out, a Technocracy could be very harmful to the overall citizenry. A pure democracy leads to anarchy. The basic structure for good government has already been set up by the founders of Asgardia. The ministries as they are, could be the basis for a high council. The sciences as a ministry could operate with a technocratic mission while not superseding the high council and parliamentary body, if any. The ministries are each unique and the challenges and mission of each are equally unique. Each person within Asgardia bring with them certain dreams, desires and skill sets. To search for Utopia is folly, and only exists in theory and Star Trek. But, if the government is set and established with certain goals, missions a near perfect government is possible. While, from what I understand, Asgardia is to advance humanity, not only scientifically, but in all areas. Not everyone can be a rocket scientist or a garbage man. But everything that can and will be needed will require people to fill those positions. And those positions are equally important to make society work. To become an off-planet or interstellar extension of humanity will not be easy. We are challenging ourselves to step beyond what trillions of dollars and countless people have been trying to conquer for decades. While I said, it will not be easy, it is not impossible.

I would recommend something along the lines of a combination of a Technocracy and Council-manager system. Allowing for a more democratic style of government primary based on logic and science. Although the Council-manager system is primary used in the governing style of smaller cities, for a nation with a much more logical based society would hopefully make it much more effective. A society based solely on technology has the potential to become somewhat apathetic towards human emotion. Now as cheesy and borderline asinine that the comment is, a government based almost entirely on logic has the potential to pursue a future/goal regardless of the consequences that may plague people in the present. The ends would justify the means. While an unlikely scenario there is a greater chance of it happening under a strictly Technocracy. While Logic and reason should be major factors when governing a humanistic aspect should also be included.

It might not be a "cult" per se (since it doesn't have religion in it) but it is simply an elitist group which is inaccessible to anyone who can't pay, thus NOT FOR EVERYONE ON THE PLANET. This website's FAQ ( ) states the following on the "Legal and Policy issues in Asgardia" section: *"As a new nation based on the philosophy of human freedom, Asgardia does not take a stance on its citizens personal beliefs and will not declare a specific religion as the official religion of Asgardia. Citizens of Asgardia shall be free to worship their religion of choice or none at all. Your freedom of belief is entirely your personal choice. Of course that choice must respect the choice of others in return."* Asgardia is a secular nation, therefore, all religious beliefs and affiliations are an individual and private issue. There may be Asgardian citizens that are linked with or members of church of scientology, however the nation of Asgardia, its leaders and its government are **not** directly related or linked with said church.
