Do you mean being a Resident? (AKA paying the Residence fee?). I believe that it basically means you have some extra rights over a Follower. I don't quite know how it'll go with elections (If us followers can't vote then, hooo boy, my dislike for the residence fee just shot up to space), but currently, the only thing I know that residents can do that followers can't, is propose an amendment to the constitution. I'm not sure if Followers can submit petitions? Currently, there's not much difference between a follower and a resident yet. But as laws get made, those laws will benefit residents, and likely not so much followers. As for being part of Asgardia as a whole, well, currently it's all just a promise, so there's few tangible benefits to being an Asgardian. However, I think that currently, in the early days of Asgardia, we can have a greater influence on the direction Asgardia will take than people in the future will have... I hope.
