Future is now. The present is just behind you. Looking back to the past and we can see so many researchers who was working on making human better, using technologies, science and philosophy. One of that science is the ability to make a machine "thinking" to help human beeing. So, right now, we're able to make neural network, using deep learning to train it, and we teach to it some concepts, some tasks. But what is the difference between a simple algorithm in a program and a AI ? And what is the place in our future universe, our world, our community ?

At first, let's take a look on how a brain works. There are many neurons (more that 10^15 connections) that are passing electric signals each other, making transformation, reduction... Each of that signals comes from skin, muscles, eyes, earls, and so on... and finally the brain send other signals to them. The neural network learns day by day from experiments, and the calibration is build to make it efficient.

A program is only a sequence of instruction managing some cases. It can only say "if something like that happends, so make that". It's not like a brain.

Artificial neural network is using the same concept as a brain. We are building formal neurons, we connect them together and we spend a long time to show something in input (image, data, sounds...) and while the "output" si wrong, we fix neurons until the entire network responds with a good result. We name that phase "train". As soon it is efficient, we can now make "inference", meaning that we are using that neural network to "predict" or "react" to something. That's how we can now make image recognition, natural language processing, and many others as "detecting cancer". An AI is only a usage of the "simulated brain".

A lot of you are afraid about that. That's true, what if the AI becomes too intelligent, out of control ?

Keep calm, that is not for now. But what about tomorrow, what about the next century ?

The first thing we have to know is that an AI is controlled by humans. It is created and adapted by human and whatever it happens, a human being can stop it. Also, it's very easy to sign each of the action made by an AI, so that means that everything an AI does, we know that is made by this AI.

Also, keep in mind that humanity will evolve, and whatever your are thinking about human intentions, we have good reason to think that we are going to peaceful humanity. Take a look on 20th century, and then the beginning of 21th. Yes there are wars, and terrorism, but not like the 50 or 60 years ago.

For example, Asgardia is peaceful, Asgardians want to make humanity better, and it's not the only one community that wants peace and good direction. So, an AI built to help human in decision, heath or domotic will not be hostile.

The right direction for the future is to use artificial intelligence in concordance with human intelligence. We must trust next generation humanity to not fall into the fear that is a hindrance to the advancement of knowledge

AI can have a place with us in the future if we transmit knowledge and pacific messages to next generations.
