I see there is a of talk of creating a colony somewhere,and lots of ideas! Antartica also cross my mind. As Io know its no man's land,its uninhabitable,so is the space,and if we can there build self sustainable colony,we can learn a lot how to do it again in space.Corect and improve first misstakes.I belive that this can be begining of a road to achive our goal. But this is my belif,and I am sure of many others,as I am sure that there would not be a sortage of volunteers to go there and start on work.I really belive in this idea,but for now it is just an idea,and beliving in idea can be very tricky,cause it can not be realized just by me.I dont know how to obtain piece of Antartica,also dont have money to finance such project,but I have good will to help in any way I can.This is the way to become a nation. If we achive goal like this,populated self sustainable colony in Antartica,then UN will have different perspective as is now.Demonstration of such a task with people from all around the world,everyone with his/her own free will to become one nation. UN can not ignore that. USA become that way,long before UN.
