"The Fox knows many things, but the hedgehog knows one big thing". Archilochus.
Isiah Berlin categorizes thinkers as either foxes who pursue several disparate and often irreconcilable ends, or as hedgehogs who have a single unified vision and whose actions, however contradictory or disjointed they may appear, are ultimately guided towards attainment of that inner purpose.
I like to pursue problems in a holistic manner, keeping the bigger picture in view, making connections between dissimilar events and processes which may not make themselves evident to casual observation. I have given myself a diverse education in science (aerospace engineering), strategy (strategic studies), and international Studies (International Relations) to be able to think holistically. My vision is to be able to find solutions which offset the basic injustices that are inherent in the very nature of life and existence. Practically, this means bringing to a conclusion the "age of scarcity" which we, the humans, have brought upon the planet which is not only our home but home to every other life form ever known to have existed.
I have worked as an aerospace engineer, as a strategist, as a peacekeeper, as a conservationist, as a SCUBA Diving Instructor, as an academic, and as a researcher. My spirit of inquiry has led me to
explore diverse cultures in almost every part of the world. My concern for environment has led me to explore the connections between human attitudes and fast dwindling planetary resources especially our oceans and marine resources.
As a trendsetter for Asgardia, I hope to continue these pursuits through the platform of unified humanity divested of is earthly prejudices and privileges.
