Dear people, residents, citizens, followers and simple visitors, members or not members,

Few years ago, I thought to a plan of creating an efficient star-ship which could carry thousands of people (145,000) in space into a ship at a maximum of 1 kilometer, or even 2 kilometers, with self-gravity made or a sustained artificial gravity.

What I am missing for that are: a group of loyal people, resources (money and materials), feeding system (food, oxygen), access to technology and a suitable environment for to build that ship. My big problem is that I am not a millionaire/billionaire.

Who would support me? I am still looking, but I won't reveal its secrets until that is built and I as chief member of its crew. However, if Asgardia nation helps me to build this, then (as ally) I will reveal my thoughts and plan in making such a star-ship.

My interest is to use a plasma propulsion engine while that is better suited for long-distance interplanetary space travel missions and to reach a habitable planet from a new star system relatively close to Sol system, but not Alfa Centaury's system (it is claimed by USA). I got a map with potential habitable planets in close areas of almost 50 light years confirmed by astronomers. But that is not all.Even if I'm not a "specialist", I am thinking at a possibility of ship's propulsion from Earth (or other planet/moon) to outer space and vice-versa in a different way without the use of hydrogen (like any launch in space).

However, I want also to build a self-sustainable nation and I am prepared with a constitution and an interstellar law project for that. What I need are loyal people to my cause and resources. The only thing I don't agree in outer space is mining on moons, obviously why.

I heard recently about Asgardia as a possible nation, but I do not trust yet this one for to become citizen, maybe not yet, while I don't know yet more details and even met the founder of Asgardia. However, I share same values and objectives, even a bit far different, and I am open to negotiate and to collaborate with Asgardia and its citizens.

And I hope that all residents and non-residents which couldn't join as citizens in Asgardia, even if they weren't approved, even if by other choices, they could join to my side to form my own group and being also an ally to Asgardia if they decide so. Pending also an answer from them.

As our planet's population grew rapidly, the challenge of competition for living space and resources led some people to look beyond the Earth.

Imagine a p landscape of fertile fields and forests nudging up against the foothills of towering mountains. Rivers meander between prosperous towns dotted across the countryside. You can hear the sound of children playing in parks and gardens. Above them, in a clear blue sky, the Sun catches the wing tips of gliders circling in the thermals.

It sounds perfect, but something is not quite right. The scene is unnaturally idyllic, the sky slightly too blue and the horizon more curved than normal. That’s because this world is only 16 miles long, four miles wide and contained in a giant cylinder floating in space.

There are two big advantages of constructing a colony in space rather than on a planet,” explains Stone. “You have the Sun’s energy 24 hours a day, so you can concentrate that energy to melt materials or use it to generate power, and you can rotate the habitat to create whatever gravity you want.”

These solar-powered colonies would be positioned at Lagrange points, stable areas in space where gravitational forces effectively balance each other out. They therefore wouldn’t need their own propulsion systems. Travelling to them would take weeks, compared to the months required to get to space .

There is indeed a lot to think about and it’s easy to knock these sorts of big, visionary ideas. However, I’m not alone in believing that if humanity is to survive we will one day have to leave the Earth . A giant space habitat might be just the stepping-stone to the stars that we need.

I truly believe that world peace starts within us as individuals!

I believe each and every one of us can and should make a difference in the world and that starts by being the best version of ourselves because when an individual is happy and confident and has an inner peace it ripples out to the people around them.

Politics is about power over others, I want people to believe they have power over themselves, over their own lives and that starts with educating children to think differently.

For the world to be a better place we all need to learn about how we can have inner peace... how to be happy and confident; we need to learn about gratitude and forgiveness and kindness, how to harness the power of their mind; we need to acknowledge that we have the ability to change the world simply by being our best Self, by being who we authentically are rather than trying to fit into who society thinks we should be; we need to accept that we are one world and we can make it a better place for everyone to live in.

In order to keep or community engaged, we need to consider having our nation enriched with the 4th power of a nation: independent Media. We need to remind ourselves daily that we are Asgardians and we need to stay in touch with the affairs of our community.

As such, I believe it is essential that we start talking about having our online news, independent of Facebook and our own radio station with talk-shows and topics of general interest being debated.

People with experience in media are more than welcome to jump in and guide the nation in this direction.

Dear Asgardians,

I would like to draw your attention to 3 major things I believe we need to accomplish shortly after the elections:

1. Sustainable financing. We all need to remember that most of the expenses are now covered by the current Head of the nation and that will soon stop. Donations are not enough to support a community. We need actual mechanisms of generating revenue. And since our presence is in the online environment, that is where our opportunities also exist. This means we need to consider online marketing on our platform (and yes, accepting some advertising, at least for the products we believe in), routing some of the acquisitions through our platform so that some of our spending makes money for Asgardia as well (this can mean: Antivirus subscriptions, VPN, software, games etc.). If we buy something, we buy it through Asgardia and Asgardia makes a %. We have the advantage of a large community and that gives us some leverage.
2. Legal status. While we wait for the UN to rule on whether the existence of a satellite in space is enough to qualify as “territory”, we also need to consider the possibility that it will not go through right away. We need to have a Plan B. It will be difficult to finance ourselves externally if we don’t have legal existence. There are alternative ways for us to ensure a lawful presence of Asgardia, which may also mean operating as an NGO until we find the proper way of existing as a nation.
3. Raising the level of engagement of the internal community and establishing rules for maintaining citizenship. We may have a large number of citizens but my observations so far indicate only a small fraction are active. This can be seen in the voting % for example. In order for our community to thrive, there needs to be engagement. The Parliament will need to establish the law based on which citizenship and associated right are granted or lost but it will be the Government role to maintain and raise the interest of the community. The more active the community, the better the chances of us ensuring the first 2 objectives.

I heard about Asgardia our nation today. I'm a new member. I would like to introduce myself a bit.
Unfortunately, I have exam in two days of my General Surgery Rotation I couldn't explore much more about Asgardia right now but it captivated me.

Anyways, it's my pleasure to meet you all!
My nickname is Bonus, born on 20th January. I am a passionate girl from Thailand, studying 4th year Medicine in Bucharest, Romania, who likes trolling. I am known for spontaneity to say things I think with people. I am pretty creative. Like some ideas should be proved impossible after we have tried, right?
