So when the nation is established and populated, being self sufficient and able to provide a sustainable economy and to also give back to the remaining nations on Earth we will have a recognised stable society.

This then introduces the issue of the natural resources on earth and economic and political issues.

We will have a requirement to be able to defend Asgardia against the normal processes that have driven mankind for millenia, if you haven't got something you need and your neighbour does then take it by force.

I understand that Asgardia is in its infancy but this as yet has not been a subject broached by the political masses. Even though we need to leave behind bigotry hate corruption and the issues that are failing the planet we would need to ensure the safety of Asgardia as it begins to develop.

This is not a step towards the presence of a fully fledged military force. A security establishment would always be required for day to day social requirements and for security for visitors to Asgardia as there is with all border controls. But a position where Asgardia would be able to ensure that all nations know that it is a peaceful society that has the right to protect what it believes in.

Just finished writing a letter to go on Asgardia 1. I'm no Shakespeare, but what I wrote is true and from my heart. Perhaps that is the best sort of writing, although I suspect my punctuation leaves a lot to be desired! This satellite is a beacon, a beginning. The thought of so many people adding a piece of themselves to it feels as profound as the plaque attached to Voyager 1. A message in a bottle thrown into the vast ocean.  Love to you all.

"Look up, Hannah... look up!"

An excerpt from Charlie Chaplins 'The Great Speech', in particular this speech strikes me as the fundamental cornerstone in Asgardian philosophy. Regardless of Religion or cultural belief I believe it is something all Asgardians can empathise with.

So by echoing his words I hope I can cross the gap between us, "'Do not despair.' The misery that is now upon us is but the passing of greed - the bitterness of men who fear the way of human progress. The hate of men will pass, and dictators die, and the power  they took from the people will return to the people."

A lot of those that find Asgardia are by no mean scientists, or politicians to pave the way for many and be the voice of greater understanding. Some, like me are people who believe in a better way and wish to help in whatever little way they can.

I believe those of us that can, have a duty to be the voice of inspiration. To open discussions and debate topics, be the devil's advocate, question choices. But most of all, when Asgardia seems weak and disproportionate, we will all come together, to pick her up and hoist her high again on our shoulders.
