Greetings, fellow Asgardians!

As we embark on this grand adventure,  I know we will go through some turbulent times.  Things will not go smoothly. Tempers will flare when we be lives that something is not right or does not agree with our individual viewpoints. This is to be expected. It is human nature.

However, pounding on a preverbal pupit, and becoming irrate, may not be the best way to get a point across.

It is better to remain calm, state your point of view or idea with reasons why you believe it to be a good or bad idea. Use facts, data, history, etc. to prove or back up your premise. Then, calmly and respectfully listen to others as they agree or disagree.  It is always possible that you may not have seen all the angles and ramifications of your idea.  Alway thank someone for offering and opinion, if you do not agree with it. This encourages other to speak in a free society.

Not everyone can be pleased ALL THE TIME! It is simply not possible. Therefore you must be articulate in expressing your viewpoint in a matter were you win people to your point of view, in a persuasive argument , rather than dismissing their thoughts and concerns or trying to berate or bully people into agreement.

Be PASSIONATE, yet COMPASSIONATE in your deals with others.

Greetings Fellow Asgardians!

My name is Carol Lynn Lockhart, and I would like to ask for the honor of representing you in local government during these formative times. I am running for the position of Strategist in Western New York State, USA.  A Strategist, is not a Parliamentary position. It is a District level position covering several cities.  Basically, most of Western New York. I would be honored and proud to represent our part of Western New York, on your behalf.  I live in Jamestown, New York and realize difficulties that we may face in receiving our official IDs and passing the 4th level verification.  I hope that by being your representative in this area that I might provide a closer location for your verification.

I am different from many candidates. as I actually listen to people and I really care about viewpoints. I will listen to my constitutes and do my best for the majority. I will  not be able to please everyone, all the time. So I will not make promises that I may not be able to keep.  I will be fair, compassionate, passionate and honest.  I will treat everyone fairly.  My job, will be to SERVE YOU, the Citizens of Asgardia within my District. If you have questions about me or for me, BEFORE you vote, please get in contact with me.  I want you to be informed and make wise decisions about your elected leaders! I am fifty-four years old. By the time an actual space station is actually constructed,  I probably won't be here any longer. That saddens me, for I would really like to go into space!

So, why would I want to support a space nation?

Simply put, this is not about a space station. This is about a future. A future where mankind is united instead of divided. A future where we share our diversity with one another in respect and curiosity, instead of hatred and contemp! To not see borders, color, religions, sexual preference, ect. As stumbling blocks, but rather as stepping stones and building blocks for the future!  Our diversity makes us great! It means that we can see things from different points of view. When problem solving, being able to see things from different angles is essential!

Patience is also crucial. When the United States drew up their Constitution as a fledgling Republic all the founding fathers were gathered together, it was a passionate debate! Debating and being passionate is wonderful! It must also be tempered with respect and dignity.

This, is why I am a citizen of Asgardia. For the future that I may not see. For the people of this planet Earth who want to change the status quo and create a better and brighter future for all mankind. Ad Astra!

I have been roaming around the forum and noticed a few things concerning the constitution and voting, as well as if such issues might affect our chances of being declared a Nation with the UN.

Whew!

As the old saying goes, "Rome was not built in a day."  That might be appropriate in this situation. We are starting a Nation from scratch. We are idealistic people. Most likely there will be adjustments

My view, we should get a constitution voted in. Petition for changes in wording or amendments, then put these changes and revisions up to a general vote until the majority of the populace is in agreement before taking anything to the UN.

Futher, since voting seems to be in question perhaps we should have an independent Board of Elections to verify election results. As we have seen in recent US elections there are concerns as to fraud and outside tampering. Our voting is done electronically and therefore subject to hacking and tampering, both from the inside, as well as from outside parties.

Hello, fellow Asgardians!

Today,  is my first full day as a free citizen of the Space Kingdom of Asgardia. As a citizen,  I've already have ratified the Constitution and have vote for the flag, anthem and coat of arms. So I am taking my responsibilities seriously!

I am a Bard, writer, dreamer, visionary,  who loves a challenge. I believe in fairness and equality for ALL! Everyone has something they can contribute. I believe in a good education and in always learning something new. I am approachable and easy going. However, I can also be focused and determined. I am reliable and will have your back! I was a volunteer and an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary for five years doing search and rescue,  as well as protecting the boating public, so I can handle an emergency pretty well. Scared, yes, but I handled it and did my job.

So, that is just a little about me, obviously,  not everything.  I'm looking to make friends, work on projects and get to know my fellow Asgardians on this grand venture! Ad Astra!

One should probably say something momentous when embarking on an adventure as epic as this appears to be. Alas, words fail me.

When I was young, I dreampt of peace, love and harmony. I dreamed of people...just getting along with one another. Mankind has such potential!

As the years passed, I became discouraged. Hate, violence and extremism appear to be the norm. Humanity is better than that! We can raise above all this pettiness!

I felt as if I were just a small voice shouting admist hurricane force winds! No one listened. No one plans for the future. It's all..."Me,me,me! Now,now,now!"

So,when I read about Asgardia, I admit, I was skeptical. Could such a place exist where pride and prejudice ceased to be and caring and compassion was the new norm?

Yes....I want to be a citizen! I want to make myself and the Earth, a better place for EVERYONE!
