I’m excited to hear more on how Asgardia is to grow in the future.  The very notion of a true nation in Space brings to mind a childhood dream of not only going to space, but truly living and working there, traversing and exploring the solar system and beyond. What are your thoughts and notions or dreams on what it means to be a pioneer of Asgardia?

Just seeing if there are any other terraforming hobbiests out here! I've been playing with the idea of putting together a sample jar under similar conditions of other planets (Mars for example) and testing introduction of different microbiota and fungi to see how a colony might be able to use local soils for biodome-style agriculture. Maybe test a batch with an Ark crystal underneath? Do we have a social group somewhere to put these kinds of internal research?

I wanted to share a perspective from the Japanese Shinto spirituality on nature and the heart. While we are currently terrestrial, it poses some interesting questions, once we become a space-colonizing species. "The heart aspires to be of service to society, to understand the principles of co-existence and co-prosperity. The heart aspires to the correct circulation of blood and ki through this spiritual revitalization. To become more energetic and sharpen the intellectual mind. The tamashii, soul, is renewed and strengthens the feeling of inochi, the life principal as we purify the three temporal worlds: Past, Present and Future." In Shintoism, the light that is rejuvenating to the heart and soul comes from the spirit of nature. Where will we find this light once we are removed from this planetary nature, on our orbital platforms or space stations? What can we do to preserve our reverence for the natural world, and how might we connect with the natural world of another planet in a respectful manner?

Today I woke up thinking about what I actually wanted from being an Asgardian citizen, as well as a resident. While the dream remains of having exclusive access to advanced technology and a government that is free of pollution, greed, disease and need; I wanted to look at what was actually available. Having a flag and a constitution to stand behind, an economy that encourages growth towards sustainability, clean technology and the healthy well-being of its citizens. But all of that in a word is hope. Hope for a better future. Hope for a clear call to sanity. Hope for the world that we will carry with us, wherever we colonize. Let's make it something worth taking with us.
