Asgardia is a brand new type of country, and in the world that we all live in today the new will be started by the current generation and overseen by the next. I have just turned 18 this year and was one of the first citizens after Asgardia was announced. I am in school learning about computers and technology and one thing that I have learned is this: the time that we live in is a time of information and advancement. Humanity has made more leaps and bounds in every field of science and improved life in general in the past couple hundred years than ever before in history. Today people my age are taught to prepare for the future in every possible occupation except one: politics. There is no class in high school for leadership, or for dealing with the complex issues that the world suffers from today. I believe that if I start learning now, and help those that I can, Asgardia can have the elected official it deserves. Not instantly, but with time and with the support of the people I could be a part of Asgardia's future government and with votes now I could help with our current one.

One of the skills I can bring to the Asgardian District  is listening . (This may not seem like much of a skill, but when was the last time you really felt listened to?) When I go around meeting people, I spend more time listening than talking. When I’m on social media, I do more reading than posting. That’s how I learn what Lansing residents are proud of, what they’d like to see improved, and what skills they might be willing to contribute to the process.

Being more intentionally inclusive —The old, established, and the new, younger, more diverse Citizen both have much to offer. Our diversity of ages, races, and experiences is a strength to be celebrated! I want to find ways to involve not only the experience of our senior citizens, but also the energy of our youth. I want old-timers to remember what it felt like to be new in a place, and reach out to newcomers with information and help and connections. Where there are racist misunderstandings, I want to encourage honest conversation that leads to healing and mutual respect

• Being more intentionally      positive —It is much easier to be critical      than constructive. It’s much easier to spark fear than hope. But a culture      of encouragement and innovation—in social media and in real life—attracts      continual growth. I’d like to replace intimidation with innovation. I’d      like to address challenges with a realism that acknowledges risk, and a      hope that is willing to try new solutions. Being intentionally positive      doesn’t mean we ignore problems; it means we address them energetically      because we know they can be solved! Lansing is filled with people from all      walks of life who are optimistic, eager, and hardworking. I’d love to be      part of a leadership team who understands the power of positivity.
• Finding ways to work together — businesses, schools, and government  are all a rich source of expertise and      assets. Looking for ways to collaborate rather than compete with each      other benefits not only these institutions, but our entire community.

Sol 3 is our crib, Sol is our playground and the Milky way is our 6th form college!  I bet you've thought that yourselves in the past?  We (as UK citizens voted to leave the EU) we Asgardians didn't need a referendum:  We know we've got to move out of our parents house and stand on our own!  Maybe when we do, our younger siblings will laugh at us for walking the harder path but I guarantee you that when we stand together they'll realise that we were never running away, we were blazing a trail for our whole family into the undiscovered country!  Elon's F9H demo is in January.  IN THREE WEEKS HE'S GOING TO PUT SOMETHING GREEN HE MADE ON MARS! I'm already a politician here in England but that doesn't give me the right to ask for your vote to our true national future.  For that dignity I'll trust my background in aeronautical technology, material science and project management with Staffordshire University, Advanced strategic thinking at Salford university and most importantly the work I've done to investigate a possible {(magneto-kinetic)/(photo-kinetic) non-Newtonian} Meta-material that can (and will) one day provide shielding from solar radiation while being exceptionally useful to skin craft or structures hoping to get as close to energy equilibrium with their environment as they can.

I was also one of the first supporters of M1 and hope Lars meets Elon in London at the BIS or we can convince Elon to come to the midlands where a lot of the technical ceramics are manufactured and get the UK as motivated as the US were for JFK.  UK is leaving the EU?  So what - Asgardia can be what the world has been waiting for with baited breath:  We can sign trade deals with the US, EU and UK without any worries of asymmetrical standards:  Falcon heavy launches next year, BFR two-three years later and we'll be drinking coffee on Mt Olympus for Christmas 2030 if we do this the right way and I promise you that we can but only if we get on and do what needs to be done to set up our provincial capital and our communication hubs before JAXA begin international work on that lunar lava tube cavern facility...

I'm a rare kind of politician here on Earth:  I actually speak the truth and don't care if the truth hurts people's feelings.  I talk from understanding and motivation, not rhetoric and delegation.  If you elect me to the parliament of Asgardia then I'll use every ounce of my being to push the UK STEM sector to embrace us as a trading partner that's out of this world (pun intended) and I'll also be in a position to get Julian Mitchell (Nephew of THAT Mitchell) to help us set up an Asgardia educational Annex between the ISU, Sheffield, Staffordshire university, Brunel uni and most importantly at least 15 engineering companies ranging from technical ceramics through to micro-particle filtration manufacture and even the directors of a bio-fuel power plant that has expanded to 4 generators in under 5 years from nothing but brains and a lack of greed.  I understand every concept and idea doesn't always work and I'll say straight off the bat that I know the odds are against us and the situation is grim (apology: pun detected!) but that's because I'm a scientist with a silver tongue and a burning desire to see the next generation feeling the gravity of Luna or Mars as if it's just another sensation.  The way we feel the scorch of the sun under a Maltese sunset or that inescapable discomfort of the throbbing chill that sets in when you unpack for two weeks in Sapporo to watch the blossom festival.  It's incompatible with my true desire that their grandparents looked in awe at the human race rise to it's technical and sociological limitations just to leave us with nostalgia.

I know that getting academic establishments and disruptive industry backing was totally from the heart.  If you want me to take us forward without a shadow of a doubt as an English member of our national parliament then in return I'll be a guiding torch to lead by inclusion and representation as well as a blazing fire that scares any prowling scavengers away from our camp who would love nothing more than to find a way to profit financially from our energetic and diplomatically naive nation without any second thought.

We have a lot of work to do before we can start in on some of these ideas people are throwing out with their campaigns.  I would like to offer my help and time to work on things we can feasibly accomplish.  I would like to see us take steps towards being considered a sovereign nation.  While I am not the most educated in international laws in this area if given the opportunity I would dedicate as much time as I could to help make our Sci-Fi future feasible for our kids.

We need to take a good hard look at other attempts at this such as Sealand: https://www.sealandgov.org/ and learn from their successes and mistakes.  This is a world first and the precedent we set here could very well help set the framework for the future regardless of our success or failure.

Hello fellow Asgardians, my name is Claude Hubert – I am 54 years old, born in France, and currently living in Wenatchee in the northwestern United States, where I work as computer system engineer for a small IT company. I am also a volunteer firefighter.

Having lived in 7 countries, I have firsthand experience in very different cultural and linguistic environments. Plus, I have worked for many companies in both the United States and Europe, including Boeing where I was sent to NASA to teach engineers how to automate testing of space station software.

My travels and my career have given me a unique and very broad set of skills that I would like to put to work for you and Asgardia.

I am going to be elected behalf of Asgardia means behalf of you, not for myself or even for my country. My field is software Engineering and from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. First of all I feel I should mention the reasons for representing you.

When it comes to the world, now we are technologically advanced to deal with big challenges, we are bit closer to fully self driven cars, have created talkative, emotional and much intelligent robots like 'Sophia', Humans are ready to land on mars in 2024. We use cryptocurrencies, here it will be 'Solar'. New medical treatments for deadly cancers and diseases and even researching for anti-aging , Its a great pleasure as humans that we feel we are going forward. But I have a serious question. Then why still some people die because of hunger in some countries? As I see, Those countries are poor in basically technology and some money. If they have enough technologies, they can earn money by them selves, or their parliament members aren't update with latest inventions technological capabilities and how to apply them while developing the country. As I see normally there is a high percentage of lawyers in their parliaments, knowing the law is essential but only knowing the law is problematic because if the representative doesn't know the cutting-edge technologies, researching fields, technology consequences for the related field how can they invest money for projects? how to develop a country with a right vision. then country will have big economic crisis as well. No new researches, No new inventions means No big money for future. In this century if we are not with the technology, definitely we cant survive. So as a person who always updates with new technologies inventions and new projects, I think I can help the Asgardia with a better future.

As far as constitution is concerned the effort for making it that much must be really appreciated.

• But I think first 100000 Asgardian limit should be removed. Here already over 100000 people have accepted constitution and they are Asgardians. So Asgardians can't be treated as two or more entities they should be equally treated.

  • Other changes in constitutions can be done time to time after the election. Personally I like free medicine/medical treatments for all Asgardians and free education upto some level(ex Up to Advanced level) for all Asgardians. So mainly I will fight for them.

As a Geo technical and environmental engineer i am interested in supporting space exploration and space resource exploitation, in order to rise the human interest in space by providing the necessary motivation of the population. In profit, science and of course educational background our race is in need of space industrial infrastructure. My goals are to make it happen.

I am a degree holder of Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. Currently I am working, I am married and a mother of two children. From an early age my favorite game was to design out-of-earth colonization projects. Due to the society where I was raised a behavior like that was considered strange, so I was ashamed and hiding.

Humanitarian values and transparency are consider non negotiable to me and I take them for granted. Moreover, I strongly support direct democracy, where all citizens will be informed and capable to validate the laws. It will be the elected servants debt to create the conditions, where each citizen will be able to exercise his rights.

Until we reach the desired levels of development and the most advanced and -likely- moneyless society, Asgardia should have a strong economy. It should develop business activity among Asgardians and between Asgardians and others, from different nations.

I am willing to work so that the Finance Ministry and Asgardia's Bank can quickly be build up, as well as any other structure required to promote the development programs. This way, it will be possible to create real working positions and income for our citizens and our nation. I Already have the plans for a major development program called ''Asgardia's City Park''. According to this plan 500 working positions will open just for the beginning.

This park will consist of two large buildings, one of which will be a tourist destination and the other will be residential. Every man will have the opportunity to experience, in the safest and most costless way, a visit to our future space city. This could be gained through the use of the latest technological achievements and emulator systems as well. I will shortly publish a link with more details on the program and I will strive to implement every efficient idea. Many proposals that I have seen over time could find fertile ground in the above program.

Resources are indispensable in order to evolve and I could suggest many productive projects.

My name is Hub Urlings and  I would like to represent you in the Asgardian parliament to make sure your wish for the Asgardian nation in space becomes viable and sustainable.

As your representative I see it as my duty to strive for the common goal of establishing Asgardia as an independent nation with everything that is involved in that, to start with our basic need for oxygen, water and food.

As an independent nation we not only need a constitution, a flag, currency and other national symbols. An independent nation needs a secured supply of oxygen, water and food for its citizens. In my  parliamental work and efforts I will strive for the establishment of an Asgardian Ministery of Agriculture and Horticulture to meet this primary needs.

The ministry that will take care of the initiation and development of all necessary measures to guarantee a reliable supply of oxygene, water and healthy food is realized for the residents of Asgardia.

In order to survive in space Asgardia will take along plants to join man when he travels off our planet. Growing food and producing water and oxygen in space will be a critical technology to establish mankind and the Asgardian nation in space. A dedicated Ministry of Agriculure & Horticulture will have to take care of this critical resources as quickly as possible.

To meet mens primary need we have to establish our own independent food, water and oxygen supply to make Asgardia viable and ensure the sustainability of the our Nation.

Hello fellow Asgardians! My name is Ben Hanford, 20 year old from the south west of the UK. I am currently working any job that i can to help fund towards my multiple businesses. I got a level 3 extended diploma from college in information technology, putting it to good use creating websites and doing graphic art for businesses in my local area.

OUR MISSION

This election is not just about single candidates and their thought provoking ideologies; though of course it comes into factor. This election is in fact for the people of Asgardia, and the future peoples of this nation. This is not a single man/woman's mission. It is OUR mission. The outcome of this election could change not only Asgardia's future, but the future of mankind.

So what is this mission?

To build a nation. Surely it cannot be so simple? But a nation with the power of ALL humanity, not torn by prejudice and hatred. A nation that strives to harness the potential of each and every individual. To help them strive to be the best they can be; without the barriers that have restricted us thus far.

It is my firm belief that we are to be pathfinders, carving the way for our future generations to live in prosperity and away from the antics of war and greed.

What can i do as a representative?

As a representative of Asgardia and her people, I will create a standard for all Asgardians, to work with the utmost effort in accordance to you. The future. The create and build the nation we all have dreamt for ever since we looked up into the night sky. We will be the first line of contact for defence of the planet and that means in turn that we will be the first representatives for extraterrestrial life.

I am a firm believe of freedom of information, i feel that a nation that is hiding information from its populous is stealing from them. If elected i assure you that you will be informed of all decisions and information as soon as it has come to me.

With varying interests from particle physics and political theory to wine and cooking, I am always seeking to learn more and would bring a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to our Parliament. As a citizen of world and aspiring polyglot, I have competency in four languages (English, Italian, French, & Spanish) and share the Asgardian view of the ideal world without physical borders.
