The only way to make sure our brave nation is safe against whatever lies ahead is to create a military.

The military will be comprised of adaptable, creative and effective young men and women who will protect our citizens from threats against our nation, whether from the stars or from the nations on this Earth.

As humanity expands into the cosmos, we must do so with eyes to the future, not the past.  The cultures we create, the technologies we use, these must always incorporate our current best understanding, unencumbered by past inertia.

In astrodynamics, chemical rockets are limited to Hohmann transfer orbits.  These simple, rigid paths allowed us to take our first steps into the solar system, but they set hard limits on when we can go where.  Advanced propulsion technologies, however, allow us to constantly accelerate along spiral paths, traveling wherever we wish on human timescales.

This is the meaning of my slogan: in all things, let us spiral towards the future, using the best of today in an ever accelerating race to a new era.

In my professional life, I've focused on networking, distributed systems, and security. This has given me a deep understanding of the perils of communication in the digital age, along with the tools to build the systems of the future.  As a member of the Asgardian Parliament, I will advocate for the following:

Privacy

The government of Asgardia should not monitor the communications of its citizens.  The use of strong encryption should not only be allowed, but encouraged.  Personal devices (cellphones, laptops, etc) must not be subject to routine search.

Data Security

The Asgardian government should protect its data using quantum secure algorithms.  It is likely that terrestrial governments will have access to quantum computers in the near future.  Once this takes place, any intercepted communications using standard encryption will be vulnerable.  We must protect ourselves from this future threat with proper planning today.

Technology

As a space faring nation, Asgardia will live or die on the strength of its technology.  We must invest in both basic science and its more practical applications, with a particular focus on space.  This will mean not only advanced propulsion, but also tools for building and maintaining closed biological systems, and resource acquisition.  This will allow us independence from Earth as we spread throughout the solar system.

Human Exploration

Though Earth orbit will be our first destination as a nation, it must not be our last.  We should always be expanding outwards, one habitation at a time.  This will require careful planning, and a series of exploratory missions.  Though we should always lead the way with robotic probes, human exploration must always be next, followed where possible by habitation and colonisation.

My platform is the realization of my core principles and beliefs about humanity. I have a strong belief that all human life is valuable, deserving of protection, and must continuously be advanced in quality. This translates to equity for people of different genders, ethnic backgrounds, races, and ages. Though all of these groups are different and may have different needs, it is my core belief that their needs can each be met with respect and dignity so that they can set out to fulfill their own aspirations. Asgardia is a chance to apply knowledge accrued from many years of advancing civilization and it is my profound hope that we can generate a nation that is seen as a beacon of democracy, social parity, justice, and fulfillment.

I hope that I can help to generate a society that is tolerant and peaceful to diverging viewpoints. In a world of continuingly building tension over personal beliefs, it is my sincere hope to help lead a nation that promotes discussion stemming from difference of opinion while maintaining mutual respect and dignity of all those involved. By forming a nation with mechanisms in place for ameliorating and resolving conflict on a federal scale, perhaps some of the longstanding hatred that exists in today’s society can be addressed at its core. In order for this to occur, a fair judicial system must be developed and the rule of law must be upheld. That said, the laws will be made thoughtfully and will be subject to review at regular intervals.

Becoming a member of the Asgardian parliament is the sum total of my aspirations as an individual. I strongly believe that I can apply my platform to the benefit of citizens of Asgardia because my platform is an organic product of my personal beliefs as they apply to society. As a candidate for the Asgardian parliament, I am specifically interested in applying to the Youth and Education Committee and the Culture Committee. Throughout my career I have undertaken a great deal of projects that I am proud of. These projects have brought thousands of people together and have had a deep and lasting impact on them. These projects inform how I see the world and they act as a compass that points in the direction of progress.

Of my many projects, I would like to share two of them in some detail to make it clear how I think and the ways in which I attempt to unite people. The first is “City of the Sun 2010”, an international architecture festival on the island of Corfu in Greece. Graduates of architecture from all over Europe were split into 50 teams that competed to produce an installation of community space using only environmentally friendly materials. The participants were challenged to envision the future and most rewardingly, found time and effort to collaborate with other teams. After 45 days of camping out and working very intensely, their common goal united them and fostered a healthy, synergistic environment. In the second project, I envisioned, gathered artists and curators, and oversaw the construction of a contemporary art center in Moscow, Russia. Just six months after opening the center, we were able to participate in the Moscow International Biennale of Contemporary Art. Just as in “City of the Sun,” it warmed my heart to see so much healthy collaboration among creators. I am proud that I was able to bring the right people to the table and that together, we were able to see this project through from start to finish. It is important to remember that without finding the right people, you will never bring the best ideas to life.

To me, these projects elucidate the best qualities of humankind: the potential to create collaboratively. Creative challenges never fail to bring the best out of people and as long as we remember that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, we can continue to make great strides and advance as a nation.

I am a  Ship Design Engineer. So I am very well versed with the educational technical needs for the youth. I have been a part of various social and cultural events and coordinated with the youth and other members from different parts of the world. Hence, I feel it is very necessary to educate each and every one to achieve full success. Also citizens must be culturally active to be socially sound The knowledge of Science and technology is very much an apprehension to be a developed nation. All these combined factors will lead to the holistic development of the Asgardian Society.

Michio Kaku said that there is a direct mathematical correlation between availability of good internet and economic class on a global scale.

It is imperative to the prosperity and development of the human race to spread our comm like a virus.

I see so many fantastic people all coming together as Asgardia. The love and passion for space demonstrated in outstanding. For certain poetic and historical purities, initially I thought that I should delay my political candidacy until I am 33. However, upon further reflection, I have chosen to submit my candidacy at this juncture. I believe that I can provide a genuine contribution to moving Asgardia forward both in time and space. While many other Asgardian candidates appear to have a genuine passion for space and generally hold sound virtues and values, few offer clear indications on how they plan to move Asgardia forward into the future, nor provide concrete suggestions of why they are the best candidates for the duties and responsibilities which are necessitated as members of a parliament.

I realize that it is not a prize to be elected. It is a duty. A responsibility to foster the development of the dream which we all share - of travelling to space, while ensuring safety and equality for all of humanity. If you see fit to elect me as one of your leaders, I can pledge much more than hard work alone. With a clear track record of academic success, strong philosophical background, vigour of youth, and passion for space which extends beyond words, I promise to bring to Asgardia:

1. Sound ethics for space, void of any and all corruption. One of my academic areas is environmental ethics. I believe that space ethics may be interpreted vastly as an extension of environmental ethics - an ethics which requires non-traditional thinking to address non-traditional problems.

2. Clear interpretation of the constitution, and a promise to uphold it in all its glory. A leader should embody all the principle of the organization which they are pledged to.

3. The will to move into the future as a united kingdom. Asgardia is still in its infancy. Without the will to move forward and a capable leader to ensure sustainable development, no nation can prosper. Nothing would please me more than to see humanity's dream of reaching for the stars to be realised. Perhaps my most significant contribution to Asgardia will be to continually strive for greater heights (literally) while ensuring that parliament does not fall into complacency of any sort.

I am a 26 year old veteran that has the know how and experience to provide security for this great idea collective,  I have the ideas to protect this great new nation  of like minded thinking people for the future.  In order for this ideal  to proceed it must have a person that that knows how to defend and protect all involved. Philosopher

The history of the pursuit of knowledge is firmly rooted in the development and historic discourse of philosophers. Science bloomed as a flower from this complex network of historic roots. Today, a philosopher is inept if they reject the scientific method generally, and the knowledge which has been produced by it. however, I pursue the truth, and recognize that anything which comes closest to truth has found a scientific way to formulate questions, hypothesis', experiments and theories. Through this, a ruling paradigm of an idea may emerge; and beyond that peer review navigates us forward to greener pastures, whereby our ignorance is mitigated by our inquiry.

So I do philosophy properly like an analytic philosopher, but I don't forget my human roots. There is no use in a method to pursue knowledge if our goals are not noble. And our understanding of the ethics needed to form such a goal is not nearly as advanced as our physics or our biology.

This is why I do moral philosophy. Because it is the greater challenge, and I prefer the greater challenge. My goal as a philosopher - at least right now - is to demonstrate the scientifically objective paradigm for morality, which can be operated towards using the most advanced scientific methods and analytic ontologies available to mankind.

Civic Duty
I am a strong believer in civic duty. When Asgardia formed - but before a constitution had been proposed - I formed the Asgardian Citizens Constitutional Committee (ACCC) in order to ensure that the voices of intelligent citizens could be put towards ensuring a constitution could be formed which represented the public, rather than merely rule them.

While we had many fruitful discourses and were successful in drafting sketches of components of a constitution, and we had interacted with the founding leadership of Asgardia, our efforts fell against upper-administrative problems. The lack of leadership caused us to fracture - as we were doing 12-hour days, often alongside work, to get done what the leadership ambiguously and simultaneously supported and ignored.

As a result, I and many members distanced ourselves from Asgardia. I went on to focus on my philosophical work and on my civic duties as a Canadian citizen. I drafted political strategy for my local political candidate in the federal and provincial elections. I have nearly completed an ambitious project to demonstrate the scientifically viable objective foundations for morality. I structured my life's goals and my many projects in sets of strategic documents. I gathered alacritous intellectuals around me in order to challenge my work and in order to gain insight into my strategic designs. This idea was initially the product of a young transsexual who dreamed of a new nation founded on new principles. Asgardia

As it seems that Asgardia will be running out of funds soon, it seemed more - and not less - imperative that I return and offer my services to Asgardia. The nation has grown since the when I launched the ACCC - and so have I. I have seen how professional decentralized organizations do effective and efficient work. I understand how to organize teams of thinkers and engineers into taking broad, abstract problems or goals and then transform them into key results which eventually lead to a projects completion.

I also firmly understand who I am and what I am about. I have never been more focused and determined about my works and perspectives and I am ready to take up a greater mantle of leadership. This is why I submit myself for candidacy as a Deputy Minister for Culture, Justice or Youth and Education.

Justice
My interest in justice is derived from my focus as an ethicist. Morality and justice share a close lineage, so much so that in certain domains therein - they are indistinguishable from each other. John Rawles, for example, and his successor and critic Amartya Sen both discuss political justice as a vehicle for morality and not as something separate. Other ethicists do see justice as something separate; one can do evil, and be lawful or do good and break the law.

For myself, their division is irrelevant. The law itself should also be the morally most astute of an nation's agencies. A recent secret report leaked from the government of Ontario has demonstrated that Ontario's main legal arm - the Ministry of the Attorney General - is rife with abuse, bullying, racism and power gaming. Good lawyers come and go frequently because the senior brass controls the agency through immoral methods. What does this mean for the people guarded by such an agency?

I would like to bring to Asgardia the opposite. I strive to be a morally good person, and as an ethicist who has studied and written constitutional literature, it will be my obligation if I am so elected to represent the legal affairs of Asgardia with the utmost moral fiber.

Youth and Education
In my book "Post-Existential Transhumanism" I try to demonstrate how a public educational service can operate and self-fund via blockchain technologies and smart-contract associations. The idea was to bring together traditional in-class education with MOOC technology in order to proliferate smarter and broader educational strategies.

Education will always be the source of a new and better world. As a member of the government's offices on education, I will do my best to produce ideas that maximize the amount of scientific and philosophical education available to people.

Culture

Asgardia has a large enough population that it can entertain the idea of creating cultural works for the world. I believe developing Asgardian culture could lead us down a road to major financial gains. If we can bring together artists, writers, animators, musicians and other artistic specialists, we can encourage the development of new entertainment which at once promotes Asgardia and also attracts investments in Asgardian cultural markets.  This can only happen if the government produces a cultural mandate that moves forward towards such a reality - and I will help us get there.

Despite the fact that the development of outer space by historical standards began quite recently, about 60 years ago, since the launch of the first artificial Earth satellite, the development of culture is already inextricably linked with the exploration and development of the space. Space has become one of the factors of the progress of culture, science and technology, humanity is becoming cramped on the earth and it is striving upward, into the unknown. Now, in the 21st century, the cosmos no longer seems unattainable, mysterious and sacred, information about the plans for mastering Mars or the Moon is perceived as a reality, even if delayed for a decade.

In connection with the above, I consider the creation of the space nation of Asgardia a very timely and logical event, because people are ready to unite to achieve their goals, are ready to begin to translate dreams into life, reach a new stage, become a Space Man.

I see my task as a candidate in the Parliament of Asgardia in the creation and development of a new vector of space culture of the Asgardians, working with the centuries-old cultural contradictions of the human earthly and creating a fundamentally new cultural code for the human cosmic.

As the founder of the Musical Olympus Foundation and a member of the Board of Trustees of the International TV Contest of Young Musicians "The Nutcracker", I see exceptional importance in working with children and young people and providing them with opportunities for cultural development and improvement.
