By incorporating a decentralized blockchain [1] technology, Asgardia will be in a great position to address issues like accountability, resources allocation & archiving, error free real-time voting, intellectual & physical property registration, unlimited flow of information, and one of the intial primary hurdles of monetary structuring. With the Asgardian blockchain, our collective voice will usher in a new era of space pilgrims and pioneers.

If elected to the Asgardia Parliament, my primary focus would be to create and oversee a team to build and implement a blockchain technology as one of its core foundational structures.

An Asgardian Blockchaing would be consider the most valuable digital resource of the Space Kingdom.

I believe we must plan our space cities now. How people live, how they work, how

children go to schools, where we can get the materials we need to live and build.

Asgardians should work together on the step by step plan to find economic and

achievable solutions to gravity escape, radiation shielding, off-world living space

management; air, food and water regeneration; waste regeneration, renewable energy

generation; and a healthy sustainable life.

We should plan for our children's education, entertainment, social life, Healthcare and

tend to special and senior citizens needs.

We should plan for growth and ecosystems, colonizing and harvesting other planets,

and trade with other nations.

Ultimately we should be an exemplary nation for the sustainability of humanity and life

and the advancement of civilization.

Asgardians should concentrate efforts now to put those plans together.

The plan should include a long term assessment of feasibility, and while we work on the long term objectives, we should plan the immediate steps that should be taken. I believe Asgardians are enthusiasts and we will volunteer our collective knowledge and

experience in laying those plans.

If given the right social environment and standards of living, Mankind can and will elevate itself to the standards of respect and goodness often euphorically described by so many intellectuals throughout our known history.

Everyday we are witness to people's genuine generosity and gratitude in the mist of horrors the news and social media freely delivers to our laptops and smart phones.

But the fact that we all still deeply believe and seek the universal happiness of all mankind, here through Asgardia among other means, just proves the persistence of such innate roots.

It is not easy to elaborate on a yet other euphoric platform of how Mankind should be. For such ideologies can be found by the dozens, be it in libraries or on the Internet.

I propose a distinct and yet old and proven approach by some of our ancestors and believe we can begin it in two simple steps:

- RESPECT: From our parents and our children to everything that surrounds us. Understanding that every child in society is our own child and every parent is our own father and mother. That trees and rocks carry within them the spirits and remains of our ancestors, and as such will one day carry our spirits.
Also respect towards ourselves and how we care for our own body and soul without falling into the usual traps of overindulging be it in food or in sports.

Lastly respect for anything that has a conscience as explained by Alan Watts ("whatever has a reaction to an action such as the sound a rock makes when hit with another rock" -paraphrasing).

- SELF GOVERNANCE: For a long time governments have taken the role of a strict father figure and the markets try to tell us what we need to be happy. For centuries Mankind believed that religion mostly dictates Morals in our societies.
Today we know and fully understand that our Morals are much more innate to us than our religion; that the governments and markets covertly tend take advantage of their citizen when it serves them.

But somehow we all tend to have the same important Moral standards regardless of our religious beliefs, our governments, markets or our geographical ways of life as argued thoroughly and in dept by Sam Harris among many others.

These universal Moral standards are a great blueprint for a self governing society where you can do anything you want as long as you do not bring harm to anything or anyone around us.

The Native Americans were said to think about the consequences of their actions for the next seven generations that would come after them before deciding if their decisions were sound.

I would say such measures applied individually in our everyday lives could help us all to be the best Mankind can be.

I have completed my Master in Applied Geology. Presently I am working as a Geologist and living in India.

As an archaeologist, I am constantly faced with investigating past cultures and societies. While American has long called itself “The Great Experiment”, Asgardia is truly the first nation of its kind.  A country born not from a shared culture or a shared struggle, but truly founded on a shared principle: to launch humanity forward.  As a member of your Parliament, I will speak with your voice as we chart never explored waters and truly push into the unknown.

As your candidate in Parliament, I will temper every decision I make with two things: the will of my people, and my own moral standards.  All decisions will be made only if they satisfy the following three criteria: 1) will they improve the people of earth, the people of Asgardia, and the nation of Asgardia, in that order? 2) Is it a decision that is ecologically and substantially sound? And 3) will it help propel humanity forward as interstellar citizens?

I believe in working hard for equality for all Asgardians.  In this day and age, humanity seems to be tearing itself apart over the most useless of quarrels: race, sexuality, gender, wealth, and a variety of others.  I will work hard to ensure that our nation is one that will shed the petty squabbles that have plagued us in the past and push for Asgardians to be treated as equals.

I believe in working hard to have Asgardia seen as a legitimate country.  We are trying something that has never been done before: a decentralized nation composed entirely of members in different countries.  I will work hard to have Asgardia be seen as a legitimate country in the eyes of our sister nations around the world.  Until we are able to have our own orbital base and territory we can walk on, we will exist online and through our satellites.  As such, we will have to work hard to have a unified, legitimate country.

I am also running for a position in the Ministry of Science, and feel like my platform there will benefit the nation as a whole, not just concerning the sciences. While I will temper my decisions with the above values, my goals for our country are the same as they would be if I was part of your Ministry of Science:

A) First and foremost, we need to establish lasting partnerships with established, terrestrial scientists, engineers, think tanks, and manufacturers.  Earth has an incredibly innovative group of thinkers, tinkerers, and great minds, and if we can tap into that resource, we will be able to overcome our physical challenges with ease.  Like all explorers, venturing into the unknown is not a cheap endeavor, so we will need to reach out to people outside of our nation to help fund our exploration, just like the british colonies of old.  But hopefully with a little more peaceful rebellion.
B) Establish guidelines and practices for distribution of resources among the citizens of our nation.  All human conflict up to this point can be boiled down to an improper distribution of resources.  If countries were able to abolish hunger and thirst among their populace, the vast majority of terrestrial conflicts would have been avoided.  In this modern age, food and water are not the only limiting resources, with information and healthcare being the most current.  And as we forge forward into the darkness, who can tell what untold resource will manifest itself at the helm of our ship?  Working with the other ministers and the heads of state, I will work to establish guidelines so our people will never want for anything they need.
C) Advocate for the advancement of technology crucial to survive and thrive against the challenges of space.  We, as a species, do not currently possess the technology necessary to prevent death during any prolonged space experience, and we do not have the technology to bring us to the distant bodies where we will establish beachheads and colonies.  However, there are a dearth of projects here on earth that show much promise, including advancements and research in the field of robotics, genetic engineering, material synthesis, group dynamics, and a plethora of fields too numerous to mention.  We need to advance current projects and foster innovation in relevant fields in order to reinforce our ship against the hardships of space.

My qualifications for Parliament are well earned.  As a graduate of Warren Wilson college, I spent 4 years studying science, and many more as a space enthusiast learning the challenges that we face shoring up our vessels and homesteads against the hardships of space.  I continue to pursue higher education through obtaining a doctorate in botany, where I will focus my thesis on better adapting terrestrial plants to growing in lunar and martian regolith.  Additionally, I took on leadership roles both as an Eagle Scout for the boy scouts of America and in college as a member of residential life.

To be a citizen of Asgardia, we are all idealists to one or another extent. Through our believes and values, we want to shape our society and our future together.

To achieve this, we need people with skills, compassion empathy and that are willing to sacrifice of them self to achieve a greater goal that they them self might not see realize in the future, but which their descendants might call a new reality.

Towards this end, I wish to offer myself as a member of parliament to help fulfill this great project.

My aim is to have a "offline" Asgardian Distributed Electronic Trading System  (ADETS) and Asgardian Currency Transaction System (ACTS) developed that will allow trade and commerce anywhere on and off the earth, connected electronically or not.

My 16 years in the Military (Air Force) has taught me to share a common vision with others, work towards that common vision, to follow orders and also to give orders to subordinates.  Experience and Skills gained from this has given me a strong Technical, Electrical and Electronic background ( Radio and Fire Control RADAR), as well as Aerodynamic Flight background, Flight simulators and Embedded Systems Programming.

I have also developed curricula, training material , presented and evaluated skills based and outcomes based training courses for close to 10 years  in diverse fields, ranging from technical training for apprentices to aircraft based computer training and flight simulator training, financial trading, basic adult education  and training courses in animal husbandry.

My 16 years of commercial and bespoke software development in various fields of interest ranging from financial, logistics to farming, retail  and software development, has given me insight, contacts and experiences that is priceless.

Economy and Business:

Currently i hold the position ( 3 years running) of Chairman of the Local Business Council in Heidelberg / Witsand / Slangrivier region in the Western Cape, South Africa.

In 2014 i was awarded the "Businessperson of the year" award by the Heidelberg Business Council.

I also held the position of Chairman of the Hessequa Municipality  Economic Advisory Council for a year.

I am also a member of the AHI (Afrikaans Trade Institute) Western Cape Province, management board and have recently been elected as the secretary of the same board.

I own three businesses that operate in diverse fields - From Retail Computer sales and repairs, to custom software development and also the Local Town Info and Tourism office and a travel agency.

Political :

I am currently the vice chairman of the Hessequa regional election  council for the Democratic Alliance in the Western Cape of South Africa.

I am also the vice chairman of the ward 9 voting district for the  Democratic Alliance in the town Heidelberg, Western Cape.

Personal:

I have 4 kids (two sons and two daughters) and believe that they deserve a better future than what was handed down to me, and i am working at achieving that by minimizing my carbon footprint on this earth by living self reliant, partially-"off grid" at this time, but fully "off -grid" in the near future.

I am in the process of building my own home for myself and my family (with two helpers) and have also recently opened a new business venture that helps and teaches people to install and use renewable energy sources to reduce their carbon footprint and do their part to preserve our future heritage to our children.

In this modern age that we find ourselves inhabiting it is more important than ever to properly decide what our course will be for our future. Will we continue to perpetuate antiquated paradigms that hold humanity in bondage or will we take that bold step and work towards creating a more perfect union?

This is my number one goal . The way to preserve our way of living is through constant growth of awareness and understanding amongst all Asgardians. The only threat to our freedom is ignorance. If we as a people properly follow our supreme values; then ignorance will decrease and freedom will increase.

I intend to cultivate these qualities in all individuals so that they may make more informed choices for their lives. I intend to encourage people to follow their passions and live life to the best of their ability.

The best way to accomplish this goal is to evaluate ourselves both on a individual and collective basis. Right now we've created a world society that is filled with war, death, starvation, poverty, lack and suffering. The world culture is chaotic and if we continue to perpetuate a old paradigm we'll never get the change we need to create a more fitting environment for our loved ones.

We must take responsibility over our lives and what we've allowed to happen. When we take that bold step then we can change the world for the better.

There are many great visionaries and thinkers that have been trying to change things for the better. Such as Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows who dedicated his life to finding a solution to war, poverty, hunger and inequality with The Venus Project .

Then there is a gentleman by the name of Michael Tellinger who has made amazing strides in manifesting abundance with his Ubuntu program . He outlines how, when and what it would require to make abundance a reality for ourselves and future generations.

These wonderful souls have provided us with a template to start the redesign of our culture and it's of my opinion that Asgardia could be a influential force in this endeavor by being a shining beacon of light led by it's example. I know the Will of all Asgardians is to make this world a better place for all. That is why I would encourage my fellow Asgardians to take these projects seriously and learn more about them.

The final goal I would have as a representative of Asgardia is for the disclosure of suppressed knowledge and technology that Earth Nation's have hidden from their people . The quality of life would increase with much of the suppressed technology and knowledge that black projects covet and selfishly conceal from the public. This technology and knowledge that can;

1. Cure most ailments and diseases that many suffer from on the surface. Cancer would be obliterated; obesity would cease to exist and healthy living would be easier for all.

2. Suppressed free energy can be used to provide all our energy needs in our houses, vehicles and schools at little or no cost to Asgardians.

3. Food Replicators can be used to end hunger for all Asgardians. The age of starvation shall cease to exist under my leadership.

4. Teleportation Technologies can be used to help better facilitate the integration and unification of all Asgardians.

5. The knowledge of our true history and place in this galaxy would assist humanity in better understanding themselves and this wonderfully abundant universe.
