I wonder if protection against sun radiation would favor in the longterm. I can imagine animals living in deep see, under ground or by night. Even hiding in shadow, having a tick skin or a shield as protection. Even we as humans search for shadow, caves and houses against sun radiation.
Now on the other hand, imagine that we are far away from the sun busy space traveling. Would we need sun radiation to survive in the cold empty space and could we adopt to live without it? Or do we need to find an ideal balance between radiation and protection, and the needed interaction as with our star the sun. Maybe we could also replace certain radiation with an other radiation. In short food for thinking about our future.
