as a long time fan of Bitcoin and all things space and astronomy I'm very interested in the connection of the two areas: blockchain tech and space.

Bitcoin is humankind's most popular payment network/global currency that is not owned or controlled by any single authority - a store of value that is trans-national, borderless, open source, irreversible, unfreezable, censorship-resistant, cryptographically secure.

Will we, the human race, take BTC and other blockchain tech with us in space? I'm sure we will. When we literally go to the moon, and to mars, etc., what role will Bitcoin serve? How do you imagine the future of currencies/cryptocurrencies in the era of advanced space tech, exploration, and travel?
