How do we go about running for a Ministry position?

I'm currently running is all three categories.

I have read that link and I'm clear on how we get the positions but How will the elections be conducted.  I'm assuming they have already started, by the July 2nd post in the news section.  That's not much time for a scattered population to vote with good information.
