How to Explicitly Reject the Constitution?

There is a button to accept the Constitution ... but there is no way to edit or reject it.

Correct

Does that worry anyone else? Our first major document and you either approve the words of your betters or fail to approve the words of your betters, but you cannot protest, vote no, or even decline your citizenship.

It worries a lot of us.

However, it is altogether possible that the Constitution will fail to pass, which leaves us all in exactly the same position we are in at the moment.

Except that Igor will likely be a bit peeved at not having things start on Asgard 1.

Here's my concern: Not voting on the constitution is grounds for my removal as a citizen. So if we don't vote, all of us dissenters can be purged and the vote declared a success. Heck, they wouldn't even have to purge us, just  declare that there was a %100 yes vote with X% of citizens responding.

    If you do not vote, it will be counted as NO, if the thing continue to go in this way the constitution will not be approved and be revised, and you will not have anything to fear since the process will restart!(they will send a revised constitution, we will vote yes or be absent ....), after the constitution be approved you can always accept it or stay as citizen lvl2 you can only not vote in referendus and do not candidate yourself to parlament or ministeries. (until now its all the information that they passed, only repassing)

@ChargerIIC
But, at the moment, you're not a citizen at all. So, it's nothing to lose.
(I'm aware that, for Constitution's art. 42, we're "considered Asgardian citizens on a preferential basis" but this may end after 24:00 of 1 Asgard 0001)

@BohZao
Are you that sure that "If you do not vote, it will be counted as NO": remember that there is something called "tacet consensu" (Silence assent). ;-)

Jun 16, 17 / Can 27, 01 19:06 UTC

@ChargerIIC I have the same concern, so I'm writing this message to declare my rejection to the proposal for the constitution hoping this is taken as a valid form of voting.

I would tend to agree that (based on all the decrees and rules i have read so far),  silent consent seems to be more likely the interpretation as opposed to NO.  This is a very worrying factor.

@Riebens
Keep in count that, into a democratic election, "silent assent" is something one should never see applied: I placed that here more like a "Sci-Fi/Fantasy" option.
Still I'm having hard time trying to figure how the quorum can be meet, up to 18 June... well... that's depending on the quorum itself. ;)

I would vote no but as it seems we've been prevented the luxury of the protest vote

Jun 17, 17 / Leo 00, 01 13:02 UTC

I just created a thread to allow clear expression of the rejection.

In the final days of the vote...

I invite everyone to add your comments and concerns to this thread I have setup.

Discussion of the Second draft Constitution

There should be a 'No' option, otherwise it's just a one way voting. Why? Because not voting is not the same as voting 'no'. But the Constitution must be accepted by 50% + 1 (the majority). And by the number of disapointed people around I don't see that happening. We can only hope.
