The downside is that France, for instance, by law does NOT recognize other languages spoken in France than French. This according to that same book of law. ;) The USA officially has no language by law whatsoever. So I don't think this will work well.

Perhaps we should make a fresh start with new things not yet done in countries thus far, learn lessons from the mistakes made in the past. I think we can already say we're at large more united as equal brothers and sisters than any country out there.
