Why do you hate your eyes? ¶
Eww. Much white.
Not particular clever to be staring at bright lights, and sure the computer monitor etc isn't exactly Sol, but masses of white backgrounds raise the intensity of light that is emitted.
The least light you fire into your eyes, the better - generally. Black back with white text is incredibly legible, and vastly reduces the lumenosity.
Doesn't even need to be black, really, just a few shades "dirtier" into grey would be enough to prevent a page that's 90% glare. a pale blue, a mild green - there's ways and means.
Minimally, I feel there should be various .css profiles to choose from in order for users to set visually the experience they endure.
