But it have been completely to the policeman side, to made the cat dead: by opening the trunk he made the probabilistic function collapsing... thus killing the cat. ;-)
Untill that moment not Heisemberg nor Schroedinger could knew the cat was alive... even if we can say they didn't know it was dead.
