Hello Asgardia!

One of my favorite hobbies is building DIY electronics - my last was a solar tracker that I installed on solar panels to stay pointed at the sun. Are there any other hobbyists/tinkerers out there and what are some of your favorite DIY tech projects?

Open source?

I've been known to "tinker"... My next project being to convert a cheap toaster oven into a reflow oven for PCB's. Upgrade the thermocouple, gut the control systems and replace with arduino - nothing special. Only got the relay left to order, was going to do that soon. Maybe add in a little TFT screen so can graph the rampup/cooldown on the unit.

"Asgardian drone"?

3D printing (assumed polymer) might be great for some parts - but generally for strength:weight ratio it's not going to be suitable for anything "significant", and almost certainly nothing with payload capacity. It'd possibly create something operable, but it's likely different materials could incerease effectiveness.

For me only low tech diy projects ^^ solar dehydrator for fruits, soon a solar water heater, diy hydroponics for some herbs and spices etc :) 

I Believe Its Prudent for Inventers Invest Money & Time in Researching EML (Electromagnetic Launch - Coil/Rail Guns) for Millitary & Space Applications, Asgardia Should Set Up a X-Prizes for the Team(s) and/or Indavidual(s) to Award Honour & Prize Money for Breackthrough Inventions, Physical Working Prototypes of new Technologies; Example -  Superconducting Ultra Efficient (31%+ 95%+) Electromagnetic Coil Guns. Asgardia Should Also Do this Type of X Prize For other Areas of Science & Technology!!
