Hello everyone !
I come from France, so my english is... well, I let you rate it. Let me introduce myself then.
I am en engineer, graduated from the INSA in Strasbourg, France. INSA can be translated in English by National Institute of Applied Sciences. A bit pompous, isn't it ? I am specialised in what we call HVAC, which means Heat, Ventilation and Air Conditionning. I have studied thermodynamics, heat transfer, fluid mechanics, turbines, heat pumps, hydraulic, aeraulic, renewable energies but also some bases of mechanic, elctricity, electromagnetism, and motors/generators. That's a lot in only 3 years, huh? Not exactly 3 years, but rather 1 1/2 roughly, since I was half time and the last six months during these three years in a firm.
During the last 6 months I studied water treatment for boilers. I also was 1 month in Pragua for my international travel, which is mandatory to obtain my diploma. But that was not my first trip abroad. While preparing a previous diploma I spent 3 months in Orkney Island, which is a really beautiful place. I was in Heriot Watt University, studying wind and tidal turbines. I was really afraid to go for such a trip, since this was the first time I would be alone in an other country and I was only...
Oh my ! I totally forgot the basis. Where the hell are my good manners ? It seems I had my head in the clouds !
My name is Laurent Peter. I will reach my 26th birthday on December, 4th. I was only 18/19 years old when I went to Orkney. It was really hard for me the take the decision to go there, but I knew I wouldn't have such opportunity for a while, since my english teacher had some contacts in Great Brittain. Each year she sends a dozen of students there.
Enough talked about buisness. But it's hard since I always have been interested by science, since I was a child. I had spent countless hours to read science book that passed in front of my eyes. When I was ten, I was fascinated by theories on relativity, black holes, quantum mechanics, particles and so on. This is a typical hobby for a 10-years-old "normal" child, I'm sure... When I was 16, something told me there was something weird, something missing in actual theories. This has lead me to study what is not in "conventional" science, but we will discuss this later.
Though I am more in energy engineering, I am fascinated by myths, ancient legends, lost civilisations, all the stories about gods, forgotten (and sometimes forbidden) history... I am also fascinated by science-fiction, cause, like I always say: "What we call science-fiction is just a small glimpse of a more incredible reality".
I am also trying to learn more about electromagnetism. I know this is the key to more powerful sources of energy (just take a look at Tesla's work), but this is something I cannot manage to comprehed as good as thermodynamics.
I think this enough for an introduction, better leaving a part of mystery !
