Today we glad to introduce to you Mr. Alexander Vlasov- the candidate for Asgardia’s mayor from Voronezh, Russia.
-Tell us about yourself: who you are, why you became a resident of Asgardia?
My name is Alexander. I'm from the city of Voronezh. I am 31 years old. And I am running for mayor Asgardia in order to contribute to the development of this project. I have three higher educations (pedagogical, economic and legal). The IQ is 162. At the moment, I work in the rehabilitation and recreation center, as the deputy director for cultural and educational work. Before that, I worked in the banking sector.
I have multifaceted interests, such as sports (professionally, I do martial arts and athletics), intellectual games (chess, board games, etc.), politics (youth city parliament), economics. As it is evident from my interests, I aspire to constant development and the formation of all round development.
- Why have you decided to run for the position of mayor?
I always tried to think globally. Look at our world and the whole international policy ... Countries are fighting for pieces of land, imposing sanctions on each other, hampering the development of technology in order to profit from the extraction of resources .... and all this, instead of uniting and together, jointly trying to develop , to make our world a better place, to explore outer space. I thought a lot and analyzed the history of civilizations: our world is constantly fighting, we are competing, not realizing that we are one species with a common destiny and striving for almost the same goals.
It is the realization that Asgardia wants to build something like this that attracted my attention. I am trying to gather the people around me, trying to think for several years ahead, or even decades. I meet a lot of such people, but they are all apart. I try to unite them, group them together. That's why I decided to run for mayor. I consider myself a leader capable of attracting people and leading them.
- What contributions do you hope to make to your local community during your term as mayor?
There are several films and books that describe the society that I consider to be the most promising ("Valerian and the city of a thousand planets," etc.), just how I hope to see the world of the future.
- What problems are Asgardians in your district(city) facing, and what would you do to help?
As Asgardia is an emerging state, I believe that first of all, it is to achieve recognition of the world community. Then start to form a society that would become an example for the whole world, and this means taking into account all of the experiences of our civilization as well as the mistakes, to understand that those forms of government and state structures have become obsolete in our history and are not suitable for the COSMIC state.
- What do you think are the most interesting projects that could be realised in the future by the space nation Asgardia?
It will require a lot of intellectual effort and work. I believe that it is the intellectual elites who should be engaged in the formation of the state system. In parallel, you need to develop your own communication channels, applications for citizens (personalized news, e-passports and identity cards). To develop ways of interaction of citizens from all over the world among themselves. In each of these areas, I can apply my efforts and make a positive contribution.
I offer to all those who want to see real development of this project to join and support me. I’m ready for cooperation and cooperation.
