Asgardia’s Counting Commission has released the results of the voting during the last digital parliamentary session, which took place on February 28 – March 1, 2020.
Members of Parliament approved 2 key legislative Acts, the Citizens’ Rights Act and Civil Servants Act, and approved the Judiciary Law to be moved to a second reading.
The Citizens’ Rights Act builds upon the constitution of Asgardia and contains sections that were adapted from the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights. The Civil Servants Act sets out policies that will ensure that civil servants will have a safe and fair working environment.
Parliament also approved amendments to the Act of Acts of sections 12, 15, 19, and 21. These changes will streamline the legislation process, which will lead to faster creation of key Acts and amendments.
The national budgets for 2019 and 2020 were also approved and the calendar of parliamentary events for 2020 was also presented.
