Members of Parliament embarked on their third parliamentary session in Asgardian history today, led by Parliament Chair Lembit Opik. The first day of the session was dedicated mainly to technical and administrative issues.
MPs discussed voting registration procedures, plans for the remainder of the session and its agenda, which is yet to be voted on.
The top issues on the agenda discussed this Thursday were the approval of ministerial candidacies and the procedure for doing so, as well as Asgardia’s budget for 2019, and the upcoming April parliamentary session.
Most of the voting planned for this session will commence tomorrow, on the second day, to ensure maximum MP registration and participation, and will continue until the end of the session on 12 January.
Today’s event marks the third time Asgardia’s Parliament has met, as well as its second digital session. The first digital session of the Parliament was held on 10-12 October 2018 (3-5 October 0002), following the first-ever in-person parliamentary session on 24 June 2018 (07 Asgard 0002) in Vienna.
