Teaser for the First Damon Lindelof ‘Watchmen’ Adaptation for HBO is Here!

"Tick, tock, tick, tock…"

From Damon Lindelof and set in an alternate history where “superheroes” are treated as outlaws, this drama series embraces the nostalgia of the original groundbreaking graphic novel of the same name while attempting to break new ground of its own.

It would appear that we’ll be getting what looks to be a cult who follows the word of Rorschach who is at odds with the police. Something escalates to bring masked vigilantes back into the mix, and Ozymandias is going to play a part as well. How this all comes together is still a mystery.

The cast includes Regina King, Jeremy Irons, Don Johnson, Jean Smart, Tim Blake Nelson, Louis Gossett Jr., Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Hong Chau, Andrew Howard, Tom Mison, Frances Fisher, Jacob Ming-Trent, Sara Vickers, Dylan Schombing, and James Wolk.

HBO's comic book adaptation will debut this fall.

Netflix Releases the First Trailer for Their ‘I Am Mother’ Movie

Netflix's I Am Mother puts humanity's future in the hands of a robot after an extinction-level event -- or so it initially appears.

Directed by Grant Sputore from a story he co-wrote with Michael Lloyd Green, Netflix really seems to have created a golden cast on casting Rose Byrne as the robot central to the film and Oscar winner Hilary Swank being part of the cast along with Clara Rugaard playing the naive Daughter character. The robot in question has been created by WETA Workshop who is best known for their work on the “Lord of the Rings” franchise and the first ‘Avatar’ movie.

Official Synopsis:The story follows a lonely teenage girl, ‘Daughter’ (Rugaard), who is the first of a new generation of humans raised by ‘Mother’ (Byrne) – a kindly robot designed to repopulate the earth following the extinction of mankind. But their unique bond is threatened when a blood-drenched woman (Swank) inexplicably arrives, calling into question everything Daughter has been told about the outside world – and her Mother’s intentions.

You can stream ‘I Am Mother’ on Netflix starting on June 7th, 2019

CW Officially Orders the ‘Batwoman’ Concept to Series.

The CW has ordered to series ‘Batwoman’, starring  Ruby Rose.  The character debuted during last winter’s ‘Elseworlds’ crossover event, with the network reportedly eyeing the character to potentially headline her own ongoing series. Well it looks like it is happening!

The ‘Batwoman’ pilot also starred Dougray Scott as Kate’s father Jacob, Camrus Johnson as Luke Fox / Batwing, Nicole Kang as Kate’s half-sister Mary Hamilton, Rachel Skarsten as villain Alice, and Meagan Tandy as security agent Sophie Moore.  It’s unknown which actors and characters will continue on the ongoing series, or if any new faces will show up.

A release date wasn’t given, but ‘Arrow’ wraps up in the fall with a final ten-episode season.  It’s possible that ‘Batwoman’ will take over after that.

Netflix Announces the Release Date and Trailer for Their Alien Invasion Teen Comedy ‘Rim Of The World’

Can Netflix do it again with their newest teen ensemble movie  ‘Rim of the World’?  Directed by McG with a script by Jack Stentz, ‘Rim of the World’ centers on four teens with nothing in common– Dariush (played by Benjamin Flores Jr.), ZhenZhen (Miya Cech), Alex (Jack Gore), and Gabriel (Alessio Scalzotto)– who are attending summer camp when the world is invaded by aliens.

Official synopsis:In ‘Rim of the World’, activities at summer camp have barely begun when four misfit teenagers find they’ve got bigger problems to face than learning how to canoe and climb ropes when aliens suddenly invade the planet. Alone in a campground once teeming with people, the kids are unexpectedly entrusted with a key that carries the secret to stopping the invasion. Without any adults or electronics to help guide the way, it’s clear what they must do: band together, conquer their fears, and save the world.

‘Rim of the World’ arrives at Netflix for streaming on May 24, 2019.
