I used the cooking show as an example of my learning about people from different cultures. I spent 6 year in the US Navy and lived in Japan and been to many Nations where people live a lot different from those of us in the United States. But we all have things in common, like wanting a better life for our children and family, like being able to provide for our family, housing etc. we all want to live a good life. its pretty simple.

I watch a lot of cooking shows with my wife, these show show people from all over the world. they are street food vendors who only want one thing, to take care of their families. I too see that we are all the same good people all wanting to take care of our families and live a good life. Many people do not see that though.
