Who am I?
I am a 26 year old mom with hopes, dreams, and goals for my beautiful family of 5. I am not your typical American Mutt. I long for peace and equality on earth, with no interest in money. When I say mutt, I mean ancestry dating WAY back to France, Russia, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Sweden, Denmark, and Canadian Native American. I might have even left some out.
Some say that because of being a mutt, there is nothing to be proud of, but why? After all, those nationalities are what made me who I am. In fact, I feel all the more special. I have all these different cultures to celebrate. It is something worth envying if anything.
Since my journey of life started, I have fallen into the poverty class. I have never known what it is like in the lap of luxury. For this reason alone it seems humbling. I may not be rich with money, but there has always been something I have been rich with, and that is love. For this I am not only grateful, but fortunate.
As of now, I live in a quiet village with a house, and food. Something I couldn't say two years ago. Going through the struggle of being homeless (living in our 2000 Ford Explorer), always hungry, and having to sing at rest stops to feed your family, has brought nothing but compassion for those who are still to this day struggling. It has also made me see how truly lucky I am to have what I have today.
In this moment, I am currently teaching myself the violin (going on 9 months!), and Working part time as a wedding planner. This violin journey has been a life saving adventure, and has helped me tramendously with my depression and anxiety. Anytime I feel down, I pick up my instrument and practice. Which, the children love.
I am very proud to have my children as they are good hearted, smart, creative, compassionate, and are everything a good person should be in life. They will someday accomplish so many great things and I hope to be around to see it.
