This is my first post as an Asgardia.
Becoming an Asgard is one of those moments in my life (which hasn’t been quite long though) when I feel the nobility of mankind, and actually think how privileged I am to be part of the long run of the upward course of the human being.
Months ago, when I was browsing through the media coverages which were filled up with discrimination, hatred, and even hostility towards a certain countries, I was down. I was depressed. How could our great civilization that has gone through such a great sedimentary acceration over thousands of years end up being savages who are consumed by greediness and live on exploiting others?
The world would never become a field of hope, as long as booms are still dropped towards middle-east children by a certain countries for their political purposes, and as people from places like China and Russia are still discriminated by the westerners just because their media tell them to do so. The world hasn’t been a shelter for good, but an arena, dominated by those of great power. In such an arena, the hope and future of our race is gradually losing their lives.
And then came Asgardia.
A nation that calls for hope, for dreams, for development, and for future. A nation that aims to prolong the greatness of human virtue.
A century ago, Marx called for internationale. However, it has long been misused and misinterpreted by parties of their own interests, and thus misunderstood by people. Today, I see the establishment of Asgard as a brand new approach to this long-lost sign of hope and future, only in a much modern way that could be accepted by more people.
I sincerely hope that we Asgardians could write the brand new epic of humanity in this brand new era.
Written in Shanghai.
