Diversity, equity and inclusion
Since 2016 I'm lying-sitting in a reclining electric wheelchair. I’m also Minister of Manufacturing at Asgardia. And I'm an IT Security & Enterprise Architect at CGI, a large IT multinational. How do you see me? Diversity, equity and inclusion are not trivial. Certainly not when you are 'diverse' yourself. Not ...

Hello! I am AsgardianJacob, a.k.a. Jacob Mulder from the Netherlands, and I need to emigrate to space in 15 years. Yes, you’re reading it correctly: I really have to. Interesting topic to brainstorm. Is there any external supporting frame to compensate this pressure? As far as I know, to live in outer space, there should be an artificial gravity, that may not solve the goal in that case. Otherwise other will have an issues of loosing muscles and bone ...

I am 'gravitationally challenged' in the sense that I'm in a reclining electrical wheelchair. That’s due to serious issues with my back – gravity squeezes my spine, which is caused by a twisted, worn backbone. See http://Jacobs.space/liggend for the story in pictures. During our Space Science and Investment Congress, I ...

Gravitationally challenged? Theoretically, lifting weights before going into space to build maximum bone mineral density with emphasis on maximum strength and mass development would help. Once on the spacecraft, repeated exercise and chronic, progressive sessions in a mini-centrifuge would maintain bone mineral density by creating artificial gravity through centrifugal force.
