Humanity has always been a conquering species so long as it has exercised intelligence. From our earliest nomadic ancestors to the massive discovery of this entire planet and the stars, intelligence suggests to itself a purpose of expanding and surviving.
Along the way there have been contentions and conflicts, posing ethical questions as well as the question of what constitutes intelligence itself. The picture presented for the future is the idea that humanity hones this conquering mentality with the higher level cognition indicative of a fair and sufficiently conscious species.
There is a certain proposition which says that the right to exercise power ought to be proportional to the amount of utility or merit accomplished by using the power. This doesn't mean it must, but only that it is preferable to nature in that nature grants rights to itself to be self sustaining.
Our planet is dying. The Amazon is burning. Carbon emission is rising amidst raging fires and thought patterns of consumption more deadly than any hurricane. Ocean life is increasingly being eradicated in the wake of a global slump of responsibility. War is brewing among nature and the nations. Those who firmly believe they can stop it and enact working plans are increasingly being labelled as lunatics rather than leaders. It is no wonder that humanity has lost its planet. It doesn't need to be this way, but it is because complacency and comfort has replaced the evolutionary trait of progress and advancement in our species.
It is time as residents of Asgardia as well as residents of planet Earth to take action and pave the cultural way in a positive respect of fighting for a purpose instead of merely fighting against the destruction of our planet. As belief is still a strong motivator for humanity, I propose a decentralized, leaderless structure of belief for myself and others (should they choose to accept it) contingent upon the founding principles of minimalism, intelligence, and future thinking.
Minimalism: (Use the least amount of resources for the job)
Intelligence: (Work to improve the mind, the body, and the human experience for self and others)
Future Thinking: (Act as though doomsday has already arrived. Internalize a morality as if we have already fostered life on other planets, even if this is not factually the case. With luck it may be someday. Push the boundary of interplanetary morality in how you act on Earth compatible with whatever you already believe. (This is not an exercise of authoritarian control, only change to what inevitably will be if humanity is successful))
Other Asgardians are free to contribute rules and regulations, criticize these ones, and create a useful discussion according to the dictation of their consciences and the present willpower they feel is necessary. My personal taste is one of construction, and sometimes a better blueprint is needed as human beings are not always without flaws.
My goal for someone else is to take these abstract principles and translate them to a concrete set of rules and self-regulations which can govern life and the way we act as a species. This is the next topic of discussion, and ideas are worth sharing under the context of this decentralized structure. Feel free to contribute.
