После открытия могут быть пересмотрены приоритеты и финансирование будущих космический программ. Как итог, часть средств запланированных на изучение Марса скорее всего направят на Венеру. Хотя с точки зрения высадки людей, это очень плохой вариант, там это попросту невозможно. Остается надеяться, что не будет потерян фокус в изучении Марса.
