I know that the eye of Horus by itself is not a negative symbol, just like by itself Masonry is not negative. Over time some symbols have been corrupted. I good example of this is the Swastika. Before the Nazis it was a symbol often used by Bhuddists and still is, but when the Nazis used it, and when foreigners to Bhuddism see the symbol, there is confusion. I also believe that the direction the swastika spins determines the polarity (positive or negative) of the symbolism.

Actually the Eye of Horus is much older than many realize, it's an adaptation and abbreviation for a far older god. As gods were an expression of nature. Look closely at the Eye of Horus and you can still see the fish under water. The rising fertility of an incoming tide is how I choose to see this symbol, it's original meaning. As a symbol of rising fertility I think it accurately encapsulates a global/space nation; even if that wasn't Igor's original intent.
