How will we practically vote? Do we just have to connect to the forum?

Thanks for your answer

Jun 13, 17 / Can 24, 01 09:30 UTC

I imagine it will be similar to how you agreed to make Dr. Igor Ashurbeyli the Head of Nation on your profile. Refusal to agree would deny your ability to post in this forum.

Nobody likes to pay taxes, but they are mandatory to any society who want to function properly. How will we build the taxing system? How will we establish a tax scale knowing that depending of the home country and profession citizens have very different income (for example: asking 10 USD ...

There should be a tax only on goods sold and services rendered in mutual business exchanges That's it. We don't need a complicated tax scheme, we don't need licensing, we don't need a centralized bank, and the people crying that we should not have any tax at all are out ...

To avoid a monopoly of the most numerous nations (and in fact seeing Chinese and English win, without anything we've said having any importance), I propose this voting system for official language: * EACH CITIZEN MAY VOTE FOR UP TO TWO LANGUAGE. * A CITIZEN CANNOT VOTE FOR HIS OWN ...

I am opposed to having an official language. When you have an official language, that means the government conducts all business in that language and has no automatic responsibility to pay for translators. The plurality of Asgardians are Chinese, but they compose less than 20% of all Asgardians. No one ...

I speak English fluently but I don't believe it should be our common tongue. I have started teaching myself Esperanto using the Duolingo App and it's incredibly easy. There should be no reason why everybody cannot learn this language. I would vote for Esperanto.

The ancient, unending debate over whether the totality of reality can be explained solely by matter or if it requires an additional spiritual substance of some sort does indeed better fit in the philosophy subforum. It is a mistake, I think, to approach consciousness from the perspective of trying to ...

Not only material and also have energy. What determines civilization‘s something is information -- different decisions about the way things are arranged. Just as we pour ink on wood can be a book.

Would explain why animals know when a CME on the sun occurs before our space based telemetry senses it and that's days before the CME actually passes our way. Sub space communications ala Star Trek would be possible with particle ...

I've seen so many ideologies slowly growing on educational curriculums that I want to be sure that in Asgardia we're going into the right direction. I speak here about children's education, not adult. I'm in favor of excluding from official teaching any moral, ideological or religious view, letting that to ...

My view on this is that basic education, even for kids should be a revised version of the Trivium and Quadrivum from the middle ages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trivium https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Quadrivium I am currently working on a proposal that includes this. Of course we need to teach students to be inquistive and to have ...

Education is about creating the future citizens that you want. Not teaching those subjects leaves things open to having a society that will tear its self apart. Also, it is impossible to keep those world views out of the classroom as the students bring it in. Having no official teaching ...

Every embassy of Asgardia should have a cultural and scientific attaches. Special courses should be also arranged for the candidates to be chairpersons of the cultural and scientific attaches. The main messages of Asgardia to Earth should be scientific, cultural and humanitarian rather than political.

Diplomatic relations are going to be crucial to the success of this concept. I do not believe there can be a one-glove-fits-all approach to this but there are some ground rules. Familiarity with the host country's customs and legal framework are certainly high priority. To that I would add language ...

It´s a base of diplomatic rights (correct me if I'm wrong please). No ambassador may be citizen in the country in which he's ambassador. A national club is a nice idea, but can´t stand as an embassy in the long term. why? Because ambassadors must be named not by elections ...
