So, one thing that I am seeing a lot of is; people stating that those of us who are under 40 years of age running in the elections, should step down because it is un-Constitutional for us to be in Parliament.
I ...
So, one thing that I am seeing a lot of is; people stating that those of us who are under 40 years of age running in the elections, should step down because it is un-Constitutional for us to be in Parliament.
I have a few questions for you, number one is, have you read the Constitution in full?
If you say yes, then my next question is, do you actually understand it?
Now, many of you might state yes, but I would like to know your proof of this with documentation from it defending your claims.
I originally signed and accepted the Constitution, knowing full well that I, someone only 31 years of age, could not be in Parliament. So, to do my part I chose to become a local leader instead, and work my way up to a clerk of some kind over the next 10 years so that when I was 40 I would be able to run.
Then, when Parliament seats opened up for the first election the website stated anyone 18 years of age could run. This got me excited! I knew I probably wouldn’t have a chance because of my lack of experience, but I chose to put myself out there because I had faith that maybe someone might vote for me. Even if I didn’t make it in, if I got one vote that would make me happy knowing that others saw my vision as something that they could align themselves with.
So, I transferred my platform from Trendsetter over to Candidacy and said I would update it later from its one page to a bit more rounded. Through doing this I made a few friends, that I am now running with/against.
Then I was told, “Oops sorry! Our bad you can’t run anymore, or well you can but we won’t let you in” (paraphrasing). Which, is fair as per said Constitution.
Even though the website said one thing, then they said it was a mistake and I can understand that. Mistakes happen.
Then myself and some others started doing some math, specifically one of my favourite areas, statistics and probability! I don’t know about you, but I love math, more than most people.
We looked, and we saw that as of a few days ago, there were not enough people qualified by age alone, to fill all the seats in our district. So we looked to the other district to get a bigger picture. Do you know what we noticed? The trend was across the board! There were not enough people over the age of 40 that were running for Parliament. Then, how many of those had actual names, or platforms? Even less!
So here we are, disbarred by age, yet qualified by platform, drive, and community support.
Then, we were told again at a later date, to keep in the running to prove ourselves for other key roles in the Government, which I was planning on doing anyways. So we started talking with one who is qualified by age, experience, and is a state lawyer. John S Sanders.
He said we should keep going, and take things the next step.
We talked via private channels, tried to find out what is happening. Now we have a poll to find out what the citizens want.
Again before you say we shouldn’t do it with a poll, tell me how exactly we would do this?
So, if you did read the Constitution you would know it states:
Chapter 5, Article 16, Subsection 2
The Collective will of Asgardian citizens shall be implemented through their participation in elections to Asgardia’s governmental bodies, monitoring these bodies, referenda, and interaction with their representatives in elected governmental bodies.
As well as in:
Chapter 3, Article 10, Section 6
The Government shall establish its public opinion and take the same into account when making administrative decisions in accordance with Asgardia’s Laws.
Now I don’t know about you but I am fairly certain that means, public opinion matters, and it is up to them to listen to public opinion when we do polls such as this.
Now the Head of State is the key unitary power in all matters.
I agree with that, that IS what I signed up for.
So, please don’t tell me to stop believing in the people.
Please stop telling them it is not their right to poll, and please accept that no matter what.
The Head of State has ultimate authority in these and all matters. So I will accept what ever he chooses.
Please try to get along.
Thank you.

Preamble
First and foremost, I would like to begin by stating that I really dislike the use of caps only for this; such formatting is hard on the eyes, and does not convey the right emotion. So, while you begin to read this I would first like to set the mood, feel free to image myself sitting in a warmly lit den, surrounded by bookshelves, sipping some coffee with a full pot beside myself which I will probably finish by the time you finish reading this. If you really like to know I drink my coffee with milk or cream, normally 4%m.f. milk or thick coffee cream, no sugar, and extremely hot.
*Clears Throat*
The purpose of gathering you here before myself today is to introduce myself and my platform for Parliamentary Candidacy. My name is Sven Eric Robin Aesirson, I am currently 31 years of age, and I have lived a life filled with happiness and sorrow like many of us. I am human, I have made my mistakes, and I always try to learn from them. What I have lived has made me into the man I am today, and under the guidance of my mentors I hope to always better myself so that I may die having made the world a better place. I wish for my lineage to look back on my works and be able to feel proud in their history and that I was a part of their Asgardian future.
Chapter 1- Security (Physical and Digital)
Section A: On Cryptography for Future Communications and Voting
I would like to take this time to talk about some things that are close to my heart, and that is the security of communications between Asgardians and how our current voting system as it stands could be exploited by external influences, such as, but not limited to; current global governments that would want to install puppets into our government. This is a problem that is talked about all over the world and I think I do not need to explain my fears too deeply as we should all be aware of the corruption in our current systems all around the world. As it stands there is a growing fear of how safe our communications are, we are having to use many different systems to protect ourselves from the powers that be. Apps like Signal, Discord, WhatsApp are currently fairly safe but for how long? The Chinese are working on a new level of security using quantum computing to increase encryptions, these quantum computers are beyond the range for an average person to get, but if we as a nation purchase one (they have a starting price at $18 Million USD) then we will be able to help ensure the safety of our people and the security of our communications.
Once we have a secure method of communication then we can start to work on a new secure voting system that will help our people get in touch with their local leaders, so they can express their views on subjects before it is taken before parliament. Such a system would give citizens a way to stay in contact with their leaders, find out what is the next batch of topics that Parliament plans to address, and give them a chance to voice their opinion. I also feel that said opinions could be weighed based on the knowledge base of the citizen, but also with giving the citizens access to more information I feel that they will be able to make better informed choices. Then it will be up to the local leaders to take the opinions of their constituents, and along with their own knowledge base, they should be able to make an apt response to follow up the chain of command so that based on all facts and opinions they are presented with. I feel that everyone should have a voice, but the weight of their voice should be based on their knowledge in that field, a plumber might have an opinion on how a house could be wired, and it might even be a great idea, but we trust the electrician and their judgement from years of experience to have the final say. Yet the idea might be seconded by the electrician and they may choose to use the suggestion and it could work for the betterment of all. In these matters we should trust our peers, and take no offence when our ideas are not used.
With that being said, I feel that we should focus on establishing clear lines of communication that are directed and building our infrastructure, as well as building contact between the people and their local representatives. Even an RSS Feed, Notification System, and/or secure communication application for mobile devices as we are a strongly digital nation. This is something that I believe should be one of our highest priorities along with UN Recognition in the early stages of our development.
Section B: Self Defense, Peacekeeping, Vanguard for Earthlings
- Self Defense – We should all be able and/or willing to defend ourselves, it doesn’t matter who against, we all know it would only be to keep the peace if someone attacked us, or tried to hold us against our will. I would never ask anyone to break a vow of non-violence, I would like to make sure that is known. I feel there is a high probability that there will come a time when we will thank ourselves for having learnt to defend ourselves, with skills such as hand to hand combat. I think it would be wise if we were given or took private lessons in martial arts as well as some kind of basic soldier military training. Such as in Switzerland, they have no standing army, but all their citizens that are physically capable are trained. With this I feel first aid would also be wise. Also knowing a position that you would be expected to fill if there was ever a state of emergency declared would be beneficial to the nation and all the citizens. I feel those who have declared it against their belief system to fight would make excellent logistics personnel and other such roles.
- Peacekeeping- I feel that once we are established as a nation it may get to a point where we will need to do peacekeeping mission here on Earth, or off in the stars. This is not something that I see being on the forefront of our agenda, it is more of a topic I feel should be addressed at some point to be discussed at a later date once we are a legal nation and possibly already out in the stars.
- Vanguard for Earthlings – This is another topic similar in nature to Peacekeeping, this has to do with the overall defending of Earth and all its inhabitants. There are many forces that could become potential hazards to our planet, and it is a part of our creed I feel, to defend them even if they are still having their own issues and political struggles. Between rouge asteroids, meteorites, extra-terrestrials, and everything we haven’t thought of, it will be up to us to do our best to protect our planet, and our people. This is another topic that is not high on our priority list at this point, but is a topic that will need to be discussed further in the future.
Section C: Asgardian Security in the Distant Future
Briefly, I would like to state that I am aware that there are going to be a lot of challenges for our citizens as we grow, and to prepare our nation for those days I feel that we should be mindful of all avenue of danger. We need to do what we can in the short term to protect us now, and those habits will help carry us forward for protecting us in the future. We really have no idea what the future has in store for us. But I am sure with a logical thought process and a good imagination, we can think of those that we feel we will face before the rest, and set a timeline of preparations.
Chapter 2 – Education
Section A: Un-biased History
History is very important. To learn from our mistakes, we need to be able to objectively look at what we were all taught, from all corners of the globe. Then research which sources of information are correct, and come up with an un-biased, true to the best of our knowledge, world history. I say this because as a young boy growing up in Canada, I was in primary school (elementary to some), and it was the 90s, and my textbooks were printed in the 70s in the USA. Later I learned that a lot of what I had been taught as a child was wrong, so I tossed all that old information out to accept the new information as any sane person would do.
Because of this, I think it is fair to assume that most of us have a lot of information that is incorrect, due to the original sources of our information. We should work on this as a part of developing our own education system, making sure that our children and citizens know as much about our history, where all the people of Asgardia come from, so we can do our best to not make the same mistakes that our previous generations did.
Section B: Early Childhood Education
We currently know that the human brain can learn the most in the early stages of development, and the earlier we can start to teach our children, the better off all them will be. We need to nurture them, while still giving them a chance to be children, but we need to not think that children are too young to understand complex things. Children are sponges that absorb a lot of information, and we need to be aware of what we are feeding them, and that they can understand a lot more than what some might give them credit for. As a father of 3, this is very important to me, and I trust my public-school system so little that I have started teaching my 4yo from home and I have never held back an answer from her if I knew it. I also don’t ‘water down’ my explanations and because of that, I feel she will be better off in the long run once she starts going to school. If elected I plan to take the education of our future generations very seriously.
Section C: The Finnish Model and The Effects of Happiness in Education
Happiness is a key foundation in the Finnish education system, to them, when people are happy and taught how to cultivate that happiness into a field that excites them that their passion fuels them. This happiness and excitement is what makes them want to learn more about the things that interest them, which has a direct correlation with their information retention. This happiness and lack of pressure to learn by naturally cultivating a desire to learn more is all that is needed to propel their students through life. We do know that stress has adverse mental and physical effects on the human body, and the pressure from parents on their children in many parts of the world leads to suicides out of the fear of letting their families down. I feel that there is something that we can learn from the Finnish, and that we should maybe take a page from their books on how to educate. This includes not having standardized testing, with that in mind I feel as well that we really need to look at all possible ways to educate our people and try to take what is best from all them, and do what is best for future generations for the benefit of all humankind.
Section D: University of Asgardia and Accreditation
With there being lots of online resources available currently, I feel that in the shorter term we can stick with a few of those, but we should look towards the future and found our own university. This university should strive for accreditation, so we can use our degrees and knowledge to help us before we make it into space. The better jobs we are all able to hold, the more intelligent our people are, the more money we will be able to voluntarily pour into the nation to move forward with our dreams of being in space. It would be best for our nation and its people, if we all have the highest standard of education possible. I feel that this will be a foundation to our society.
Section E: The Elderly in Education
In a lot of Canada, the elderly is a resource of knowledge and information that are commonly not used to their full potential. One such potential is doubling as day care providers for the young while also teaching our future generations. Doing so helps the elderly feel better and more alive while connection our youth to previous generations, while also taking a bit of the care needs of our children off the hands of their parents. There is an adage of “it takes a village to raise a child” and I feel that this is prevalent information to take into consideration as we develop our nation. Everyone has a role to play and for those of us who may no longer be able to provide for the nation with a youthful body, we can as we age, become a key in developing our future generations by passing on everything we know to them, so they have a stronger start than most of us may have had.
Chapter 3 – Recruitment and Talent Acquisition
Section A: Canvasing for The Future
I know that we say right now that everyone is invited to join Asgardia, I get that. What I would like everyone to be aware of is, most nations that may invite everyone to apply to join their nation, or even just visit, will from time to time reject applications. Now before people start jumping down my throat about how everyone is invited and deserves a place with us in the stars. This is not true, and I can prove it to you. Would you right now, like to live with someone that you knew for a fact, was a cold-blooded murderer who likes to eat human flesh and bathe in blood? If you look deep down, you are probably leaning more towards a hard nope. I too feel the same way, with that being said, do I feel that a lot of small misdemeanor crimes should be overlooked when people are applying? Probably, because let’s face it, there is a reason for everything and everyone does deserve a chance to explain themselves. For this very reason I feel that it should be treated on a case by case basis, let us look to Australia as an example at to what can happen as a potential for a nation to be pretty much founded by criminals. Are they able to operate on the global scale and do commerce with other nations? Yes. Are they still all criminals because their ancestors were? No.
With that in mind, I would like people to understand my views when I say not everyone is meant for Asgardia, but I do believe that everyone should be given the opportunity to apply, even if they end up being rejected. So, a part of my previous writing about when canvasing for the future and looking for people to join Asgardia I say that we should be aware that everyone that makes it through the gates has an opportunity to do something for the benefit of mankind. That everyone has a different skill set that will help us grow as a nation, and that there should be a place for almost everyone. With that in mind, it is not directly up to us individuals to make that call, we can put the information forward and let everyone apply, and let the processes that I am sure to try and establish, do their part, and filter out those that are looking to do more harm than good.
Section B: Immigration and Refuges
In the previous section I mentioned that not everyone should make it into Asgardia, this is something that I firmly believe in. For the safety of our people we must understand that when people try to come to us as refuges, that currently not having any land, all we can offer is knowledge and “thoughts and prayers”. In the future I hope this is not the case, and with that in mind we need to establish a protocol for doing so, every nation has a protocol for such things, and we as the founders of this nation are almost all refuges in a way. We see the state the world is in and we want to leave it, this should be something that is strong in the hearts of our people. We will have to be aware that other nation who may envy us, or worse, will try to infiltrate us for their own gains, and we need to establish a system to do the best we can to find out the truth. This is going to be difficult to an extent because other nations or peoples with enough skills will have the ability to falsify documentations. I do also feel that we need to take ‘whistle blowers’ serious, as they are speaking out right now against governments and corporations around the world to try and make it a better place. We need to establish a system for taking in these whistle blowers separately from other people looking to immigrate or come as refuges.
Chapter 4 – The Solar Coin and Other Commerce
Section A: The Solar Coin
The Solar Coin is something that most of us should have tried to consider by this point, but we should be aware that there will be ways to potentially exploit the system in the early stages. Do we know if it can be tampered with on the generation end? The original plan was that the system would take electricity generated via photovoltaic cells and run that through a software interface and into the blockchain network and “Abra-ka-dabra!” currency! So, how do we verify that the energy coming into the system is actually generated by solar cells? Well, there is currently no way to prove that the system in infallible as it is still growing, but after the approval process is passed, a person could hypothetically modify the system with other forms of electricity generation and this could have both positive and negative impacts. Positive side, running a bicycle hooked up to an electric motor over to your grid to use human power to mine your funds. On the other side, you could use a fossil fuel powered generator to spike the system. A person could also hook up a wind turbine up and use that and it would do the same thing, this being said, a person might be able to get an approval if they used wind or water to help generate power and in turn mine more Solar Coins, but this is merely a speculation at this point. With that all taken into consideration, I think we should all start mining as soon as possible, I just downloaded my wallet a while ago, so I could learn more about the whole system.
Section B: Bartering and Other Commerce
So, I feel that it would be potentially wise if we as a people create a bartering platform to help our people share their skills with one another for trade. Now the value of our skills is up to the individual and the government should have almost nothing to do with it other than giving people a platform to do so where we can all list our skills or services that we would like to offer. There are currently apps and websites for things like this, I just feel that we could do this internally and add a rating system where we can all state how we found the quality of work done in trade and if we would recommend them to anyone else.Just as you can rate an “Uber” or “Lyft” driver, this grading system should be under an arbitration service to prevent people from stating service was bad when the goods were delivered as expected, or whatever the case may be. Now I know that a lot of these are going to be a civil lawsuit or claims against the individual, but I believe that they should have their own court system as to not have a negative impact on the greater legal system that I am sure we will establish.
Chapter 5 – Freedom of Information and Copyright Laws
I believe in transparency of government bodies and accountability. I feel that we have the right to know when things are going before parliament, and that we know what they are talking about while representing our nation. I believe in public over sight over parliament and the government. If we are going to be doing things differently from the rest of the world when it comes to founding our nation, a strong point should be our refusal to lie to our people. Lying to the people doesn’t help them. If we know the challenges, we are being faced with then we can fight that much harder to solve the problem. I can’t really get any clearer than that.
Now when it comes to copyright laws, I think that we should really look them over and have less of an antiquated system revolving around them. Do I feel that people have the right to protect their information? Yes. Do I feel that people should have the right to get recognized for their work? Yes. Do I feel that corporations that make millions if not billions of dollars should have the right to come after us for downloading and sharing a movie after it has already had its box office debut? No. Fairly simple believes, do I feel that there are going to be exceptions to the rules? Yes.I feel that it is something we will have to consider when the need arises, and that we should be aware that we may have to face that soon.
Chapter 6 - Civil Union Laws
Section A: Spousal Rights and Responsibly
I feel that as we develop as a nation, we will be coming together from all over the planet with different views as to what a Civil Union should “look like”. I feel that we need to be objective, and inclusive with belief structures that do not line up with our own. With that being said, the rights and responsibly of the individuals needs to be established and protected. The unions that we will see may question our views as to what is moral and what is not.One thing I will never waiver in is my protection over children and I will never vote to let pedophilia be legal.Other than that, I really don’t care what 2 or more consenting adults do in the name of love. So long as we are looking out for our future generations I don’t really care who is raising the children so long as the needs of the child are being met. I also feel that when a union happens, that the rights of the individuals should never be compromised.
Section B: Polyamory and its Effects on Genetic Diversity
Space, a place where humans are a commodity that shouldn’t be wasted, our genes are important to us as a people, and if we are going to be up in space, with a desire to expand our populations then we will have to make our gene pool as diverse as possible.Polyamory is probably going to be more common place and I feel that accepting it from early on will help us in the long run. The more people breeding with others of more diverse backgrounds the better it will be for the gene pool. It will give future generations more to work with and make for less risks of inbreeding. Now I am not saying that there should be a government mandate forcing people to breed with others that they do not, rather that if we have an acceptance of it from the beginning that nature will run its course.
Section C: Divorce / Breach of Agreements
It is never a pretty sight when there is a divorce of breaking of a civil union. I feel that we need to have fair laws in place to protect everyone, possibly even build ‘prenups’ into the standard model of civil unions. I also feel that as we will most likely accept things like polyamory, that our laws in civil unions will have to have something in place for situations like that in case there is a breach of the original agreement and a party involved decides that they are done with said agreement.I feel that it should be a fairly clean process as breakups are never easy on anyone. I feel that this is something that we should consider establishing.
Section D: Custody Disputes
When children are involved things get even more difficult for everyone. The children of our nation need to be taken care of, and we need to make sure that there is a system in place that is best for the children while also taking into consideration all other parties. There is a reason why there are lawyers who specialize at this as well as all other aspects of law in our current nations. I feel that we should be similar, yet unique in our approach, that we should always consider the emotions and wellbeing of the children that are involved. Now I also know things will get quite difficult when we take into consideration unions with more than 2 adults, so I feel that not just the biological parents should be taken into consideration in those situations.
Chapter 7- Extradition Requests
No.
Chapter 8- Inter/Trans Planetary/Galactic Relations
Section A: Asgardia and Earth
I feel that this will be a topic that will come up often, and that we will be spending many hours debating about this over the years.I do not know exactly how I feel about this with the information I have other than, we want to leave for a reason. So, with that in mind, I currently stand with siding with whatever is best for the people of Asgardia first, and the rest of humanity second.
Section B: Asgardia and Non-Terrestrials
So, I know that this is a topic that I see all sorts of opinions on, currently if there was contact made with us by lifeforms from other planets, they will be far more advanced than us, fact. So how do we react? Well I for one welcome meeting with them, hopefully they are kind. Realistically I know that creatures can do what others may view as unkind, and that a lot of what may be considered moral is merely a social construct. So, I feel that when that time comes, we should be weary of them, yet also try to learn as much from them as possible to benefit Asgardia, while sticking with our founding principles.
Section C: “Prime Directive”
As we expand we will need to come up with some set rules for engaging with lifeforms that are less technologically advanced, right now that isn’t an issue. I am sure this will come up in some debate at some point. My view, don’t mess with the monkeys, don’t give them lasers.
Chapter 9- Networking
Section A: Earth Based Networking in Early Asgardia
I feel that along with security, that networking in the early days will be key to making our visions of Asgardia come true. I would like to see some kind of network established, in the mid ranged timeframe, a satellite network that we could all connect to. In the early days, a private network of some kind just for communication to start off with. In the very early days we are all going to have to do our part to make sure that all Asgardia business we preform will have to be done on the most secure of devices in hopes to protect our interests as a nation.
Section B: Augmented Reality and Virtual Reality
There are key differences between augmented reality and virtual reality, I feel that we as a nation should take both of those into consideration in the founding of our nation, and how they can benefit us the most. I feel that an augmented reality app would be useful for navigating and meeting with other Asgardians with features to turn our locations on and off, though preferably left on, so it will be easier to find one another in times of need. As I am sure every one of us would love to help within the best of reasonable conditions.Maybe there could be a feature to turn off location for when we want to be hidden which is also fair. Now as far as virtual reality goes, I feel that we should have a digital landscape that we can navigate, it should be large with 0 rendering / background / backdrop other than buildings or objects made by individuals.I feel that we should all be given a digital address that we could log into, that we should make our House of Commons be there, with a text base backup even within the system. It would also be neat if we could be given the option to either design our own avatars in the beginning or to get ourselves scanned and uploaded into the system so then it will be easier for us to recognize one another in person.I know there is a lot to talk about when it comes to VR and AR, and I look forward to having more discussions with everyone about their potential for Asgardia in the future.
Chapter 10- Synthetic Intelligence
First off, I would like to mention that I refer to it as Synthetic Intelligence rather than Artificial Intelligence for good reason, synthetic is man-made whereas artificial is fake or false. The intelligence is not fake, but the method of obtaining it is synthetic as we program it rather than nature. If you care to dispute me on this then please read the work of synthetic intelligence pioneer Dr. William (Bill) Rutherford, Ph.D... This topic has a lot to debate. Do I feel that we are anywhere near true sentient SI (AI)? No.Will we ever reach that point? Possibly sooner than we think. With that in mind, I feel it important that we have a talk on the roles of S.I. in our society. Currently I feel that those machines are merely machines, we are so far from understanding even human consciousness let alone being able to make it with computers. So, for the time being my vote stands for us to limit their use as anything other than tools, they have no rights as they are property. Yet I feel that we should keep working towards making them yet also pay heed to the engineers and tech leaders and scientists of the world today who are trying to warn us against using them or weaponizing them.
Chapter 11- Taxation
Tax the rich, buy bonds, spend money on Asgardia to build the nation. Those who donate should have it marked down, or their donations should become bonds, so then as our nations grown they can be paid back by the nation.
Chapter 12 – Looking to the Future
Section A: Moon Base vs Orbital Station
We can have both, but I feel that logic would dictate that it would be wiser to start with a lunar base as we could mine the moon for resources compared to having none with an orbital station. Of course, we must get there somehow and that would have to be an arc to carry us. So, I feel that having 0 gravity training is essential for us and I know for a fact we have someone that can help teach us that and he is also running for parliament.
Section B: Expansion, Our Solar System, and Beyond
So, space is a great expanse and I know we will get there eventually as a nation. We need to start to plan for our futures with how we will conduct ourselves not only within, but with outside forces. We don’t need to spend a lot of time worrying about that right now, but we do need to know that at some point we will have to create some basic rules for us to follow.
Closing Statement
Thank you everyone that made it this far. I know I had a lot to talk about, I really felt a need to explain myself to the level I did. I am sorry if it felt long and drawn out, I swear I can talk fast and could have gotten it out a lot easier that way.
There is lots more that I have opinions on that involve Asgardia. I have a passion for politics and was considering running for local politics but then I found out about Asgardia and I feel that I have found my calling.
I want to represent everyone to the best of my ability, I want everyone to vote for whom ever they feel will represent their views the best. I don’t mind if you don’t vote for me because we all have different opinions, and if you do vote for me, please send me a friend request and I would love to get in contact with you.
Even if you don’t vote for me I also would love the friend request, so we can all get to know one another.
Sincerely,
Sven Eric Robin Aesirson.

Greetings and Salutations.
I plan to represent the people to the best of my ability. All I want is the survival and protection of our species and our home planet, I wish to help guide us into the future. I believe in the need of a space defence program to protect us from debris and any other external force that may harm us or our planet. I believe in peace, and strive for it daily, fighting my own demons to make myself into a better person for the benefit of mankind.
I believe that we should look for likeminded people that are frustrated with the state of the planet and feel like there is nothing they can do because they feel alone. This is something that I think many of us might feel or have felt in the past. I believe we are one people, one planet, and we of Asgardia need to be a beacon of light to guide humanity into the future.
As a man who grew up with nothing, has felt a lot of suffering the world has to offer. I know that it is only by our actions that we can move forward and make the world a better place not by dwelling on the past, rather we need to learn from it, educate the next generations, and move forward as Earthlings. I believe that we need a very firm judicial system, and must hold ourselves to the highest of standards above all others set forth by current political systems.
I am a man of logic, and spirit. Philosophy is needed to help us reflect on our purpose, and I feel mine is to serve my species to the best of my ability and make it a better place than the one I came into. I am a father, and I try to help my children learn from my mistakes in hopes they will not make the same ones, yet I understand that they need to make their own in order to grow. I feel this same way about all Earthlings.
We need to be the change we wish to see in the world. Compassion for our fellow Earthling needs to be a focus, while defending our own.
On inviting people to Asgardia:
One thing that I would like to touch on is thinking about who we invite to join us. I may not have strong English, although I have a passion for all the sciences; specifically, physics, engineering, and mathematics. I was always advanced for my years in those subjects. Now one thing we should consider is that not everyone is great at everything, most people have one field they are great at, and we have to consider this when inviting people.
We need artists just as much as we need engineers. We need people that know their passions and chase after them. Please don't judge someone by how they look, get to know them well, and when you think they are a person you could live with as a neighbour and they have skills that will be useful, then invite them. Don't just invite people because they are beautiful or because you have a chemical reaction in your brain telling you that you should reproduce with them.
If a person cannot even contribute to our broken system we have in place then how can they benefit this new one we are trying to form? Even with this in mind, some people choose not to do much in our current world because they are so upset with the way things are. Maybe they are not apathetic, maybe they are so empathetic they cannot function well in our society.
I think all these things are what we should contemplate before sending an invite to join our growing nation.
I have a few topics that I would like to focus on with my platform.
Recruitment and Talent Acquisition.
Judicial Process and Punishment for Crimes against Asgardia and its Citizens.
Fundraising and future Partnerships.
Inter-Asgardian networking for the purpose of bartering and commerce.
Education infrastructure and knowledge distribution between generations.
Marriage/Spousal/Partner Rights/Obligations and Separation of said Agreements.
Protection of Information of Asgardia and its Citizens.
Copyright laws.
Trans-Planetary Relations with other sentient life when Asgardia comes in contact with another species and the freedom of information to all Citizens on this topic.
App/Cloud security platforms for real-time voting on all Asgardian matters to let representative know what the people they represent want them to vote for.
The formation of a Senate under the current leader of Asgardia.
These are just a few of the topics that I will touch on and expand with those who vote for me. Please keep in touch with me and stay up to date with my blog. I plan to create minutes for discussions with those who I represent.
I will do my best to lead us forward based on logic and compassion for our fellow Asgardians and Earthlings.
