comes from the movie called ‘
Three idiots’
, released on 25th December 2009. It is the ‘Highest grossing Bollywood movie of all time.’
It is loosely based on the novel by Chetan Bhagat ‘Five Point Someone’. (2)
During my first blog, I wrote about the qualities of leadership. One of the essential points of good leadership is ‘360-degree feedback’. Literally, feeding back into the system what came out the other way, upholding a mirror.
It made me think of ‘the self’. The whole reason for feedback is to better oneself or a system or relationships, work output, quality etc.
My mind turned back to Vienna, Austria - 2015. I was sitting in a doctor’s waiting room and picked up a magazine. It had a cartoon picture inside, making fun of the
‘selfie stick’
. The writer called it
‘the ego scepter’.
There is a book
‘
Dedicated to the Soul/Sole Good of Humanity, By Maria Paige Vosacek’
in which she says;

The Scepter
is Eternal God-Substance Supreme Intelligence,
Unsullied Foundation

the Living, Eternal Fabric

In the movie
’Three idiots’
the professor in a key role,
dislikes feedback of any kind
and leads a very ‘
transactional’ life
and is
simply speaking
-
at war -
with
‘transformational thinking’
of any kind. He ends up in a war of words, seeking a traditional answer from the character ‘Rancho’. Rancho’s single problem starts off, being picked out, because he is smiling and looks too happy, in class. He discovers he is just allowed to reply or answer in a very robotic, certain format. This does not excuse, some of his other vile behaviors though.
He challenges the professor by speaking '

. The professor
could just not decode

speech
as intelligible or relevant
.
The filters

people filter feedback
are really sullied in most of us, by ‘
the will of illusions that chains the ego to its own finite folly’.
We are
segregated from others
or
intimately related to others
by
the kind of gems
we choose to collect. The gems we collect, be they friends or ideas or way of life,
determines in which scepter we invest.
