To achieve our highest goals in the future we need practical legislation now.  As your MP I would prioritize pragmatic acts and laws that affect everyone as well as helping our Space Nation take its fledgling steps towards international recognition.  In particular, I believe that there are 4 key points that need immediate attention:

1. Tax Policy: For most of us this is the single element that will have the greatest immediate impact on our lives.  We all recognize the need for revenue to support the government and services, but at the moment almost all of us are already paying taxes to another nation which means that Asgardian taxes will be especially burdensome.  As your MP I will advocate for alternate streams of revenue to supplement income taxes and I will work diligently to ensure that any income taxes imposed are set at the lowest possible rate.
2. International Recognition: The difficulty that many territories with actual land are currently having in gaining recognition from the UN demonstrates how hard it will be to get Asgardia recognized.  As your MP I would work to support the current head of state's initial program of establishing diplomatic relationships with individual countries to expand our global influence, as well as aggressive recruitment and expansion of government operations in order to build Asgardia into a nation that cannot be ignored or treated as a joke.
3. Establishing Government Services: To expand recruitment and build a government that we can all be proud of, I support the immediate commencement of government services.  Our first priority should be services that tie us all together, including an official postal system and passports.
4. Research Now for Space Colonies Later: In order to reach for the stars we need to focus on research and education.  In addition to individual scholarships, I would work to find a university that would partner with us to endow an Asgardian Center for Space Science and Engineering: a unified institution with a small faculty within another university, bearing our name, and supported in part be government revenue.  This institution would increase international recognition of Asgardia as well as supporting practical innovation that will be necessary as we work to build a space agency.
