Sounds good. Well, internet should be a fundamental right (as communication is). I would love to see that governments start to make it possible to freely access internet everywhere (at home, in the cities, at work, elsewhere mobile). I know a lot of people who aren't able to effort 25 or 40 € each month for a valuable internet connection.

A law based right should be established that serves a "recommended mid-level accelerated broadband internet access" (in our times this would be a 5 or 16 Mbps network speed, in 10 or 15 years, this might be a 500 Mbps network speed, in 25 years maybe 1 Gbps). Communication was always a thing to pay. No matter if you want to send a letter (you know, that kind of thing that is based on pen and paper), or if you want to send an email (using the internet) or an SMS (using mobile networks).

Some rare companies at my country also started to run free communication paths to support such a goal, by far not on a level that would be required for a quality path of communication nowadays, but it is a start.

From my limited point of view, Africa have a giant growing potential about networking. About the environment, which is not helping in creating the ground network, it seems to me you should point to mesh networks , mixing all available ground, radio and satellite ones.

It's a little sad to compare a 60 million people's nation and to see we're behind 11 million's one (Greece is forward to us, in network terms) even if, I know, being smaller sometimes helps (look at Switzerland ;-)). That apart, I'm hoping that, in a near future, we'll see the whole thing as an "european" problem (or thing to do). :-)
If it was about Italy alone I could be far more sad than now. :-D

Pretty sure AIRC won't like to be bombed, as Libia have been when it was preparing the very first african communications' satellite to be sent into space. ;-)
(that, by the way, was one of the true reasons why Libia have been bombed and Gheddafi killed)

It's been way too cloudy.

However, for those who are interested, Venus, Saturn and Jupiter are all three visible in the night sky. Look at your sky right before dawn to see all three. Venus will be in the east, Jupiter in the West, and Saturn in the middle.

I would love to see it, but my telescope is not the best.  I can see the moon and such, but I can't really track stuff in the sky because my ability and skills are limited and the computer in the telescope at home doesn't work anymore so I cannot follow objects.

I am so sorry to hear you and your family have to stomach such atrocities in the frontline.  I wish I had positive words of encouragement.  All I can say is that you guys are heroes for having to see his mug on a daily base.  At least your houses won't be floating on innertubes upstate, so there is that.
