Agreed, I was among the founding citizens and supposedly was within the number that were supposedly not going to have to pay a residency fee (so much for that). Right now I see absolutely nothing to justify me actually paying one and resuming my residency. 3 years and not even the hint of something worth being a resident for.

Before going building a space station, who probably will cost a lot of money, ressources and infrastructures to launch this project, I think we must have our own territory on earth. We should claim the Mary Byrd Land, a territory on the Antarctica who is unclaimed by a nation. We should build floating cities like the seateading institute, and we should build cities on platforms like the principle of the petroleum platforms who will be large enough to launch rockets on space to launch our projects.

We know what we need, a space station. The technology is out there. We see it in the sky. We are a nation of ideas and creativity. As citizens, what do we need to do for our part? Do we volunteer our time? Donate money? How much would it cost to put a person in space? A dozen? a couple thousand? How can space profit us as a nation? Besides exploration, why should we go to space? There is multiple reasons. For us to have our own space station, it can work as a hub between Earth and Mars. Mars, for now, I feel should be our main target. Biodomes will allow us to control our environment until we have the proper technology for terra-forming. Creating habitats on another planet will help insure humanities future. Back to costs. How much would it cost to create a fully functional Biodome? With a system of solar panels, it would give us a proper edge to survive. Nothing happens over night. A proper biodome would take many years to prosper. So, since that is so far down the road, I say we focus on a space station for our space nation. I vote Valhalla1. I have seen many creative ideas for how this should be done. We could start with basic structure and grow it over time. It's space, weight is not an issue. With a proper propulsion system we can create our own natural artificial gravity. Do it like on a submarine. 6 months on, 6 months off. Have a team of scientists, welders, typical construction team members. Trained for basic space living. Build it bit by bit. Just send supplies up with each rotation. Slowly, a grand structure will begin to form. We can even salvage old satellites for scrap parts. All tools sent up, just leave them on a shuttle that remains in orbit with the structure. Have the means to send the workers back home. Send up the next team with supplies. Again, costs. How can we make this happen? is it truly technology we are waiting on? or is it funds? If funds then the project can be started and the pride of our people will come fourth. People would be happy to help in anyway they can. This I am certain of. Donations would roll in as anticipation rises. We CAN do this. One Humanity One Unity

Time is an important factor in any culture or civilization you study. Our time has just begun. What we are today will be quite different from what we will be 100 years from now, or a thousand years from now. If today we are 98% digital, 1% foreign and 1% space satellite, it will not be like this forever. But on the other hand, no one has ever been able to run before learning to walk. That's what they say. The problem today is: How to be a unit physically? Can we buy Miami? No. So how do we get started? We elected mayors, governors, congressmen, president, for what? We mere mortals, are we going to follow their schedule or are they ours? My guess is that none of them know anything about the agenda of the thousands of Asgardians spread across the Earth. It is our duty to show them. I suggest that each one who elected his ruler, from now on, write to him and make it clear what you want from Asgardia, because it is already clear to me what Asgardia wants from me.

I agree with you, we need a territory to build our nation. But, the only thing I'm not agree is buying territory in USA, or in other countries. Because, one, they will not allow a potential entity to cause them to lose territory. And two, if we build our nation on an existing territory, there will come a time when we will want to be truly independent, and don't be naive, the country that welcome us will never want us to be independant. Thus, the only one thing we will have to do, at this time, is to launch a war of independence. Thus, we have only two solutions, building our nation in a territory who is unclaimed by an other nation, like Mary Byrd Land in Antarctica. And building cities in the sea like the project of seasteading institute or like oil platforms. The questions are, are we ready to fight for our nation and died for our nation ? Are we as strong as we say to go into the unknown to build something else ? And do we have the money and the desire to launch this first necessary step to exist in the World or are we just a good club with people around the world who are just united by our common passion of space ?

I totally agree with you, we do need to have physical constructs built, to be even more official, and show humanity that we are serious about this and that it will work out in the long run, I would suggest working with other companies to get things built, a few companies I know, such as Tenfold Engineering (https://www.tenfoldengineering.com/) for Earth-based habitats or Moon-based potentially if the technology is adapted, The Gateway Foundation (https://gatewayspaceport.com/voyager-station/) of which could aid in building space-based constructs, and possibly Blue Origin (https://www.blueorigin.com/) or SpaceX (https://www.spacex.com/)for ferrying Humans and resources to space. If we do this I believe we will succeed.

I imagine that it will depend on where you live. Remember they have all over the world to many individuals. I would think no more then a couple of weeks. How ever I am really the wrong person to ask. I am not involved with the making or send of the cards.

Even though an Asgardian Passport would not be recognized by any other nation until Asgardia itself is recognized by other nations, it might be a fun idea to issue such passports as conversation pieces (or shall I dare say, novelty items). It could be another way to raise revenue for Asgardia. In the United States, a new passport costs $110 (94 Solars/Euros). Charging residents 100 Solars for a pre-recognition passport could raise needed funds for Asgardia, and give residents a novel way to show their friends and encourage additionaly people to join Asgardia and to become residents.
