Hello Nathan, No, I am not, if you were to ask a person walking their dog what sex it was and then what gender it was, they would look at you as if you were slow, because you would have asked them the same thing twice. Now, how could that possibly be unless gender and sex referred to the same thing? What!!? You think that society has any impact on people's perception of themselves when it comes to their being a man or a woman? Even the folks who you are trying to defend would tell you that is a load of crap! The people who do not identify with the biological gender/sex they were born as, grow up feeling that way it is not an idea given to them by society. No, no gender is not a dynamic concept, a gender identity is, but not gender. But if gender where a social construct why aren't more folks afflicted by the issue of not identifying as the gender they are? Right, a biological woman not identifying as a woman is none of my business, until that person begins to seek actions that would impact myself and others who are perfectly happy comfortable having a gender identity of a man or woman. Why should folks be made to live in a society where conversating with someone, dating someone, and just knowing what to refer to someone as has become complicated because. Someone idioticly (not referring to the op btw) suggested that we do a way with genders, just so some people who do not identify as a man or woman can feel better about themselves when simply allowing them to become the gender they identify as would solve their problem!? Remember theirs is a personal issue and as such should only affect them and those associated with them, not people who may not even know that person exists! Stop trying to involve folks in the affairs of others by blowing the original issue out of proportion. You can not have a nation be genderless, but also not ignore biology. Gender is a function of biology it helps separate men from woman based on their reproductive and physiological differences. Besides, even if we did away with genders, the problem would still exist as long as those who do not identify as a man/woman are unable to become the gender they identify as. Which means doing anything more than giving those folks access to what they will need to become the gender they identify with is stupid and needlessly complicates the issue. Exaggerating what are personal problems to national issues is a waste of time, resources, and is incredibly pointless. The problems of those folks can be solved a whole lot quicker by not making them out to be bigger than what they are
