My political platform is based on adaptability, in my opinion, an unwaivering belief that you have all the right answers, rarely lead to any good results, thus, I always work from the assumption that there are things that I do not know.

The world today, and, I firmly believe, the world of tomorrow, will be an increasingly changing world. Today we're seeing the advent of self-driving cars, increasingly complex algorithms with direct impact on our lives and decreasing costs of reaching space. In the world of tomorrow, it is important to be open to changes to the status quo, sometimes you'll want to regulate these changes, to protect certain vaules you deem positive, and sometimes you'll want to embrace these changes to bring about positive changes in society, or simply because there is no alternative. Regardless of the situation, I believe it's important to be open to the changes in circumstances around us, be they physical, philosophical or legislative, pretending that our surroundings don't change never solves any problems, we need to be aware of upcoming changes, preferably as early as possible.

Values:

These are the 5 values I hold most dear and, if elected, will endeavor to protect and promote:

1. Adaptability

This is, in my opinion, the chief amongst the reasons why the human race has grown so numerous and successful(?), we're able to adapt, and adapt to, our surroundings.

2. Unity

When we work together, we can accomplish much more than the sum of what the individuals can accomplish.

3. Reason

Reason is the tool, I believe, will, most fairly, work the rocks of fact into a solution that will benefit the majority, for the longest time.

Always try to see the large picture, identify the goal ("what do we want to accomplish?"), the means ("what are good ways to achieve this goal?") and the impact ("in doing so, do we jeopardize any of our other stated values?").

4. Efficiency

If you don't expend resources frivolously, you are left with a larger base from which to adapt to your surroundings. It is important, however, that this does not translate into being miserly, not expending resources, when it is prudent, goes against reason and can, in the long run, work counter to efficiency.

5. Openness

Diversity is a strength, diversity provides a much firmer base for adaptability, if you overspecialize you invite failure in the fields in which you have not specialized. Diversity, however, can look like specialization from certain vantage points, I very much acknowledge the values of specialists, however, an entire society composed entirely of specialists in a single field is, in my opinion, not a good idea.

What qualifies me to be a member of the Asgardian government?

As a member of the Mars One candidacy pool ( https://community.mars-one.com/profile/6ed01116-2d14-45e2-b11f-cf7d507a7edd ) I have acquired a lot of skills (albeit on a casual level) that pertains to life in space, for instance the animal-bacteria-plant nutrition cycle, chemical transmutation and human health in space.

My primary education is in computer science, a field that changes constantly and switfly, the most valuable thing I've learned during my education, is how to acquire new skills, something which I consider important in a member of governmentwho'll be expected to have an opinion on a wide and changing array of subjects.

In my spare time, I work, on a volunteer basis, as a member of the regional board of a national political party, so I am not entirely new to the world of politics.
