I'm not saying Asguardia becomes a militarized wonderland, but what precautions will we have for the worst possible scenario? Now, I know this will draw negative feedback, but some sort of kinetic bomb may be a deterrent for nations when paired with a missile defense system.
We have to think about our wellbeing, and the values we stand for. If a nation is attacking us, somehow, and we're left to fend for ourselves what shall we do? I know it's unlikely, but in the case that it does happen, what's the counterargument? Take it like a good little space station?
I strongly believe that nations allied to Asguardia would understand.
If we are scholars and scientists trying to preserve humanity, why would we need to use any sort of aggression? Save being provoked by a nation and abandoned by our allies? Or, who's to say that our allies would be able to deter an attack?
We wouldn't even have to ever drop a bomb, unless we've taken a hit.
These are things to think about.

Then why don't we make a new project? gathering all scientists and engineers in ASGARDIA and make a facility like DARPA! like this sort of works.
I agree with you, and let me support your post with few words. And I understand why we're talking about missiles, as when we're going to have physical borders it will be in space.

I agree with you, and let me support your post with few words. And I understand why we're talking about missiles, as when we're going to have physical borders it will be in space.
First of all - we will be physically attacked once we have physical territory. It doesn't have to be a country, even otherwise! We won't be attacked by any country as we don't represent any threat to any of them and don't hold any Earth values that they might need. What we might be attacked for, and it will explain why and by who, is for the Idea. Asgardia represents a new step in the Human evolution when humanity leaves back all of it's past to move forward in to future. In Asgardia there are man, woman, transgenders, Jews, Christians, Muslims, Pagans, Atheists, Black, White, Asian, Latina and much more kinds of people, but we're still one. You don't see it in other countries - there are at least some but not equality or hate between different people for being different. In Asgardia we all represent an Idea! And some people from Earth might not like this Idea - terrorist organizations, cults, different societies. And this those are the ones who will attack us. And trust me - they have missiles. For now we weren't attacked by other means only because we're too small and don't really have any threat to them or anything serious to be taken from us. But in the future we're surely going to be under some kind of physical threat.
So what can we do about it? Well, first of all get allies - as a small government we will need a so called "Big brother" or a bodyguard - someone who will look out for us, protect us and help us - a bigger and stronger country. Of course this big brother isn't going to do all that for free - resources, information, money - they will ask for payment. This bodyguard will give us weapons, or use his own to protect us on our territory. It is not the best solution, but I don't see any other until we grow big enough. That way the attackers will think twice before, well, attacking - do they want to obtain such an enemy as "our bodyguard", do they want to mess with, lets say America or Russia? Later we can switch that 1 country in to the UN, but it's not even a dream for now.
Secondly - get an army. I'm not talking about attacking, but about defense. Like the IDF or JSDF. We can obtain anti-missile technology from other countries but having our own troops will mean we're less dependent on others and we will fight back.
An thirdly - a really difficult question - do we need attacking weapons? Like, do we need those missiles too? I'm against war, but I think we do. Unless we can fight back and not just hide behind a shield and getting all those punches without saying anything, we will keep getting hit. Again and again until we show that if you attack us - you pay for it. So I think we do. And same as in number 2 - we will need to but it from others and only then produce by ourselves.
What I have to say before the end is that all of it will cost a lot. I can't even imagine how much, because we're a space nation. Paying for protection will cost the least, as buying weapons and producing and maintaining an army. Because we can't harvest our own land for the needed resources - as we don't have a land or the needed resources in space - we will need to buy everything. I'm just getting a bit frustrated thinking about the amount of money we will need.
We should have a system set in place to destroy any incoming missiles we should also have god rod stations in the event of a war we could just destroy the enimies military bases and installations from orbit
