"I risultati teorici ottenuti in questo lavoro si sono rivelati molto contro-intuitivi: penso che nessuno degli autori prima dello studio avrebbe potuto ipotizzare che usando un sistema trasparente fosse possibile raggiungere questo risultato. Ma la stessa matematica ci ha spinto verso questo effetto, non sono ancora noti quali fenomeni si nascondono dietro lo schermo dell'elettrodinamica tradizionale", afferma Denis Baranov, ricercatore dell'Istituto di Fisica e Tecnologia di Mosca.

Oggi quasi tutti i fisici credono che la luce si comporti simultaneamente come una particella e come un'onda elettromagnetica. Sulla base di questa proprietà, che in passato impropriamente veniva chiamata "dualismo dell'onda corpuscolare", sono state costruite molte tecnologie moderne, in particolare le matrici di fotocamere e vari sensori di luce.

Normalmente sono costituiti da materiali che assorbono bene la luce. Cioè, l'energia delle particelle di luce che entrano in collisione con la loro superficie viene convertita in calore, in oscillazioni collettive di elettroni oppure altre forme di energia. Per le proprietà fisiche tutti questi materiali sono scuri, ma quelli trasparenti, come il vetro, non sono affatto adatti per questa funzione.

I fisici russi hanno scoperto che i materiali trasparenti possono tuttavia essere sfruttati per creare sensori di luce quasi ideali e celle solari ad altissima potenza.

Studiando come il campo elettromagnetico dei fotoni cambia nel momento in cui le particelle di luce passano attraverso un materiale trasparente, i fisici russi hanno notato che il materiale inizia ad assorbire l'energia dei fotoni se l'intensità del raggio cambia in un determinato modo.

Come spiegato dai ricercatori, ciò accade perché le onde disperse di luce che cercano di lasciare il materiale trasparente si sovrappongono e si autodistruggono, motivo per cui l'energia non riesce ad oltrepassare il vetro.

Questo effetto non è infinito: scompare quasi istantaneamente si interrompe il gonfiamento del materiale.

La scoperta ha implicazioni interessanti non solo dal punto di vista teorico: ad esempio l'accumulo di luce in un sistema trasparente consentirà di sviluppare la memoria ottica dei computer, capace di memorizzare le informazioni senza perdere energia e rilasciarle al momento giusto.

Congratulations on the clean and honest campaign, worthy of an Asgardian. In the days leading up to the parliamentary elections in Asgardia, I met people highly qualified to hold a post in Parliament, but for some reason failed to achieve this goal. What I have to say to these extraordinary minds who have not been elected to Parliament is that we Asgardians all have a role to play in building our society. We do not need to be in Parliament or in Government. In Asgard we are all equal in importance. Only the workplace is different. These bright and dreamy minds will be able to assist parliamentarians and ministers by contributing their knowledge to the construction of Asgardia. We need people who are capable, above all, of well-intentioned support to parliament and government, and these people have already shown what they are capable of by taking up leading public office, and they will certainly be asked in a timely manner. This is admirable. Anyone who puts collective interest above private interest is worthy of my respect and admiration. We are all to be congratulated in this first stage of the construction of Asgardia. Campaigns clean, no personal offense, unlike any we're used to seeing on the news. The Asgardian citizens gave an example of civility and respect. I'm very happy for this. I am a Social Scientist, Specialist in Projects and Social Policies. I work in the Federal Public Administration, where I learned everything not to be done in the public service. I have mainly learned that: In our local society, IT IS NOT ENOUGH TO BE LEGALLY CORRECT, WE SHOULD BE RIGHTEOUS, and our justice is not always on the side of what is humanly just. I want to be Minister of Citizenship because I feel aligned with Asgardian thinking. I am not only referring to my academic background, because knowledge means nothing if I do not walk side by side with good intentions. These are things that complement each other. I consider myself a person prepared to take over the Ministry of Citizenship, because I allowed life to teach me. I have been a good observer of social relationships throughout my life and I know the mechanisms of interaction in these relationships (I want to thank the Parliamentary candidate, Geoffrey West, a brilliant mind in every way, who made me realize that). A qualified person is not made with a university degree. A person prepared for a position of government does not necessarily need a university degree. He needs knowledge allied to the love of his brothers. If I have the honor of being chosen, I know that I will have special people of character and knowledge necessary for the performance of my ministerial activities. I am not afraid of the future because I will have my brothers highly qualified to build our ideal. I would like the future legislators in Asgardia to remember that. As I have just said, when they begin their activities, the Law must be based on moral principles, not on the moral principles of our original societies, but on the moral principles that govern the good and fraternal human nature that we possess. In un parlamento di questo genere servono senz’altro fisici, ingegneri e scienziati, ma servono anche intellettuali, studiosi e diplomatici capaci di far coesistere le diverse visioni di un parlamento che inevitabilmente sarà composto da persone provenienti da tutto il pianeta terra con lingue, culture e punti di vista differenti tra loro.

Asgardia è la prima nazione spaziale ma è comunque composta da esseri umani. Va da se che figure che possano fare da “intermediari” tra le diverse tipologie di parlamentari servano e siano, anzi, essenziali.

La mia candidatura nasce da questi presupposti e dal fatto che il mio curriculum rappresenti proprio quelle figure “diplomatiche” che servono a far funzionare bene un’istituzione.

Spero di potermi rendere utile e di poter mettere le mie capacità al servizio di Asgardia e dei suoi cittadini.

In a parliament of this genus, there are certainly physicists, engineers and scientists, but also intellectuals, scholars and diplomats who are able to coexist the different visions of a parliament that will inevitably be made up of people from all over the world with tongues, cultures and different points of view.

Asgardia is the first spatial nation but is still composed of humans. It should be that those figures who can act as "intermediaries" among the various types of parliamentarians are servant and are, indeed, essential.

My candidacy arises from these assumptions and from the fact that my curriculum represents just those "diplomatic" figures that serve to make an institution work well.

I hope to be able to make me useful and to be able to put my skills in the service of Asgardia and its citizens.
