This world is on the brink of interplanetary advancement.  To be one species traveling the stars, we must embrace science and technology.  We can no longer let the uninformed run our species into oblivion.  A scientist is needed who can not only be rational and logical as we travel the stars but also one who can ensure the survival of our species while in the environments we will encounter.  We need someone who can also lead the people.  My experience in the military and as a leader in my industry has prepared me to be an effective manager of people.
