what is your definition of "fair dealing of responsibility"? I believe that a sense of responsibility should always be present and ingrained in children, youth and adults alike. At the same time, what that looks like should be different depending on age, development, and ability. In respect to your question of whether a sense of ownership is a good thing, that is a source for a great debate. On one hand, ownership and prospects of personal upward mobility is a great motivator due to our undeniable competitive and self-serving nature. On the other hand, I also believe that is the foundation of a society is such that collectivist ideals are valued and shared, that basic desire can be less prominent. At the end however, I think that this can only be successful when basic needs are met, there is a strong sense of connection and community, and all are on equal footing.
