Strong, flexible, smart ... glass? Yes, we are entering the “glass era”, perhaps, without even noticing it. With the ability to become transparent and opaque, remain durable and unbreakable, and even behave like a touchpad, a new type of glass can change our homes and workplaces beyond recognition.
The walls in such houses, if desired, will be able to behave like windows, controlling the amount of transmitted ultraviolet radiation, heat, and making our homes and vehicles much more energy-efficient. Just imagine that each surface of your house will be able to transform from a wall to a window, and from a window to a TV screen simply by your hand’s movement. Such technologies are unbelievable, but soon real!

Able to complement our physical world with the digital one, this technology has enormous potential in almost all areas we know.
To draw in the air, to walk on the surface of Mars, to look into the volcano or the center of the Earth - holograms can send us where even magic, not only science, is not capable of. The possibilities will be virtually endless, depending only on our imagination. Who knows what more people can create using this technology?

With the active development of robotics, we are increasingly meeting with the advent of more user-friendly home robots. The current boom of commercial drones is just the beginning. Soon, much smarter and more convenient cars will appear on the market.
Will it be something like an ASIMO robot from Honda, designed to help and communicate with people, or are we talking about machines that will replace people in certain employment positions (for example, waiters, reception workers), one thing is clear: the development of robotics will not stop. Relatively soon, in addition to TVs, computers, washing machines and microwaves, a small army of robot assistants will become an integral part of almost every home on the planet.

Bionics is changing the face of humanity, in the literal sense. The more we become addicted to machines, the faster we get closer to the time when our capabilities will be an order of magnitude higher and wider than those we have today.
Implanting video cameras in the eyes, improving the ability to jump higher and run faster, or even controlling electronic devices with the power of our mind - the border between the machine and the person is slowly but surely becoming increasingly blurred. Thanks to new technology, we, most likely, will soon be able to feel and get a completely unfamiliar life experience. Maybe we soon will be able to “hear” the colours or “feel” the electric fields or even load new information into our brain, like in “The Matrix” movie.

Learning about the invention of the telescope, Galileo built one himself and used it to make numerous remarkable discoveries. This included a brilliant confirmation of the Copernicus theory. Among other things, Galileo discovered the existence of mountains on the moon, confirming that celestial bodies are similar to Earth and that ideas about any deep distinction between the earthly and the celestial are wrong. Later, Galileo discovered four satellites orditing Jupiter. Further, Galileo discovered the phases of Venus, establishing that it changes its appearance, just like the Moon. Galileo saw dark spots on the Sun through his telescope: from their apparent movement along the disk of the Sun, Galileo concluded that the sun rotates around an axis. Finally, Galileo discovered through a telescope that the Milky Way - this luminous band in the starry sky - is a collection of many faint stars.
Nevertheless, Galileo’s main discoveries are the two principles of mechanics, which had a significant impact on the development of not only mechanics, but physics in general.

An outstanding Polish astronomer who abandoned and disproved the doctrine putting Earth at the center of the universe, launching a scientific revolution.
In his brilliant work, 'On the Rotation of the Celestial Spheres', the scientist argues that the observed movements of the celestial bodies are the result of the rotation of the Earth around its axis and the rotation of the planets around the Sun.
Despite popular belief, his findings were first widely accepted by the Catholic church and were even taught at Catholic universities. Copernicus was initially only rejected by more radical protestants due to contradicting certain bible passages. However, over the years, the Catholic church followed suit and adopted a very low tolerance policy of scientific discoveries, disowning Copernicus and his work.
In addition to his most famous theory, Copernicus developed a new monetary system in Poland, took part in the construction of a hydraulic machine that supplied water to all the houses in the city, co-authored the economic law of Copernicus-Gresham and calculated the real motion of planets.

First released in 2017 on Steam and now available on popular gaming systems Nintendo Switch, Playstaytion 4, and Xbox One this puzzle co-op game is addictive and frustratingly fun! This is not your typical puzzle game with two amusing NPCs, David and I.R.I.S. David, an OmniCorp employee, who has been tasked with testing the bots. I.R.I.S. is his computer AI who will converse, mock and generally make fun of David. They add a lively addition between puzzles and comments while you’re playing a level based on your performance.
Death Squared offers some innovative gameplay as players control various colored block robots as they move along suspended platforms with the object of getting each block on its corresponding color node, all the while avoiding falling, various traps, or inadvertently killing a fellow robot. With 150 levels in total it packs in a surprising amount of gameplay with three difficulty levels of play.
Story mode makes up the bulk of the game with 80 levels that can be played solo or co-op, players navigate the increasingly difficult challenges. The next level is Party mode which offers 40 levels of 3 - 4 players can play together of even more challenging puzzles with the ultimate coming from the Vault. The Vault offers the remaining 30 levels of the hardest puzzles that developers could throw at the player that will test your brain, and some friendships.
Even at two years old (its last update was September 2018), this game offers many hours of fun both solo and with friends. The studio has teased that they may be making a sequel and we’re not sure if we’re ready for it!

There are many ways to figure out how far away a star is, but measuring parallax is most accurate one. Parallax is the 'difference in the apparent position of an object viewed along two different lines of sight', so we can calculate the distance to a star using pure mathematics. The distance to the Vega star was first measured by the astronomer Vasily Struve in 1873, way before we had modern space tech!
