We take with us our knowledge and experience, but leave behind the prejudice and bigotry. We acknowledge the fact we're still in the dawn of our civilization and we feel humbled by the sheer vastness of what lies ahead, beyond our mother planet. We plant the seed of our future Utopian tree today, its growth only bounded by the stars.
There are eight stars, balanced on each side of the flag. Eight is "[t]he number of perfection, it has been associated with infinity and the ancient Egyptians believed that it is the number of balance and of the cosmic order."
