This flag represents the earth (blue), space (black) and the force connecting them together and protecting Earth (white stripe). While the blue is obviously water it also represents the nobility of the people of earth who are coming together for the creation of Asgardia. The star is the nation of Asguardia showing a satellite above earth and placing it within the black represents exploring the unknown of science, technology, law and humanity. The white is the purity of our purpose and is found within both the star and stripe connecting the two. The four points of the star are the four main principles of Asguardia: Unity of humanity, Defense of our planet, Exploration of science and technology and Fostering peace.

The dimensions of the flag are a nod to mathematics that underlies all science. It is the golden ratio 1:1618 and this ratio is found in many places within the flag including the placement/width of the stripe and the size of the two diamonds used to compose the star.

The flag meets the requirements for a strong national flag design. It utilizes easy to find primary colors, is easily visible and recognizable at a distance and in a very small format (such as an icon on paper). It can easy be remembered and draw by most people including small children.
