My vision of Asgardia is that it will be a realm symbolizing the next stage of human evolution, an evolution that transcends the biological definition but bears testimony to the formation of a collective Over-Civilization. From that standpoint, I have searched for a historical meaning and purpose to Asgardia's identity, in such a way that its flag symbolizes the realization of historical ideals that our ancestors have passed down to us through the millennia. If one carefully studies the symbols on display on the flag here, on the left one will find the Olive Wreath and on the right one will find the Wheel of Dharma. The former, in the left, symbolizes our Western Civilization while the latter is in the right as it symbolizes our Eastern Civilization. The olive wreath was the prize for the winner at the ancient Olympic Games of Greece. It symbolizes strength, excellence and brilliance of the human faculties. The dharmachakra on the right comes from India and its ancient Brahmanical and Sramanical schools of philosophy. It symbolizes the cosmic law and the concept of preservation and in our case defines our urge to be at one with the cosmos. The star in the middle represents humanity's goal to reach the stars. The colours blue and black represent the cosmos itself in all its enormity.
