With my design for the flag of Asgardia I focused on the physical elements of the nation. The black background represents the vacuum of space with the fringe of the Earth visible at the bottom symbolising the origin of Earth based life (green) and the connection to water that all such life shares and depends upon (blue). Two curved lines and a full circle represent humanity pushing up a hollowed circle beyond the Earth depicting the creation of Asgardia which will be centrifugal in its form to emulate the force of Earths gravity. The yellow is chosen to portray Asgardias liberty and energy.

I opted to use the traditional 5:3 aspect ratio as Asgardia one day intends to become a member of the United Nations. Long Live Asgardia!
