I totally disagree...prisons are institutions that are better left to history...If an individual requires internment...then if we are to be a better society maximum efforts at understanding and rehabilitation should be pursued...

Every crime has it's associative pressure/origination and is most often reflective of healthy cognitive function giving way to fight or flight characteristics...

In an evolved society...there must be outlets designed to safely dissipate negativity...The answer is not to bottle up rage or jealousy or frustration...the answer is to recognize that all persons given the right circumstance will generally react to negative stimuli with an equal and opposite reaction...

These are purely natural responses that are better suited in a homogeneous society to be allowed release in a non confrontational manner...

I am definitely NOT speaking to forced modification's on either genetic or mental/emotional states...I believe such radical approaches are neither warranted or necessary...

A prison as an "entire world" is a little far fetched. I do think there should be containments to the very least. Only to protect the other people in Asgardia. I know some of you are thinking/ saying "just kick or ban that individual from Asgardia." So are we just suppose to let that person walk free from lets say, a serious crime like attempt of murder for  example. That person cant just be sent back to earth that moment. To be realistic there will be some sort of crime in Asgardia. And transporting people from Asgardia to earth won't be as simple as hitching a ride whenever you please, and vise versa. That kind of technology won't exist for a very long time (hopefully sooner rather than later of course).

It's just to send criminals back to earth, to an ordinary prison. If the crime is really big.

Yes, I know that Asgardia will be a place of freedom. But people should respect other that they are surrounded by. so no crimes . Respect others lives in peace. Its not so hard to stay guiltless.

Not at first.  We might need jails to hold folks for trial, but for Asgardia, deportation will suffice.  At some point earth and other colonies will not accept felons, at which point we will have to decide what to do.  Prisons serve no useful purpose except removing that person from society.  A lot of thought has to go into a criminal justice system.  There need to be laws specific to living in a space based environment, like against hoarding water or food or penalties for messing with life support systems.  These need to be serious debates.

Only some people truly regret for their crime when u put inside cage, many will become more beast mind full of anger, unfair of live without realizing what lost criminals have summon upon those who have lost.

A prison would be very unreasonable and if you did build one somehow, it is in direct violation of the Consitution of Asgardia. Plus, technologies for colonising and containing living and material objects and organisms are non-existing. It would take a very long time to acquire such technologies that Asgardia would, of course, forbid and ban it. Further more, to harm another Asgardian will most probably get you kicked out of Asgardia which is as good as a death sentence... if you look at a spacey point of view. Cheers!

You cant try to solve a problem, if you dont know if it will exist.

I hope prisons never will be necesary.

Besides that, in this momment dont exist criminals on asgardia, because only the criminal law can determinate which human actions or behavior will be considered a crime. And we dont have criminal law yet.

I think it is premature to discuss this issue, since as long as we are on Erth we are subject to the laws of the country we live in and this will last for several years. If I understand well, you suggest that the illegals we should send them to the exile, but since anywhere in our universe is our establishment, you consider Asgardia, we conclude with an impossible conclusion. I will love to talk about it again after 20 years.
